I visited a friend while on a short stay the staff were always helpful and kind. Although he did not want to go for respite he enjoyed his stay the staff got to know him the short time he was there and for that made his stay that little bit easier for him

The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. They can't do enough to facilitate our requests for my mother in laws care. They are open, honest and easily accessible if there is anything we need to discuss with them. Overall, my impression of this home is excellent, and even though it is not the easiest place to get to for any of our family, we will not move her because we feel she is well cared for and looked after there, only second to being with family.

Wellington Lodge is friendly, clean and lots to do. The staff are really lovely nothing is too much trouble. My sister really liked it. I live 6 doors from a care home which would have been easy for me. It took me 3 buses to get there but was worth it. She didn't want to move anywhere else, only at Wellington Lodge.

Myself and my mum are really happy with Wellington Lodge. The manager and all the staff are really kind and caring, always there to help when needed. My mum's been so happy with all her meals, eating really well, she has made friends with some of their residents, and I am so pleased that the home smells lovely and is spotlessly clean. A few of the carers are extra special to us, and we will never forget them. Thank you.

My mum has been a resident at Wellington Lodge for tow years, she has been cared for and looked after very well and I have had no issues with the care. Staff are welcoming and helpful at all times and I would recommend this care home.

My Mother moved to Wellington Lodge in May 2024 and since this time the staff have gone above and beyond to meet her sometimes challenging support needs. Every effort was made to ensure my Mother was treated with dignity and respect and staff had a real understanding of what worked best for her. Sadly my Mother's dementia needs became as such that she was unable to remain at Wellington Lodge but regardless the effort to try and support her and keep her in the surroundings and routines she was familiar with will always be remembered. Wellington Lodge is a well managed care home with a staff team that clearly enjoy their jobs and who always great you with a smile. Highly recommended.

I was anxious about my mother going to respite, however the process involved was easy and a manager came to my mothers home to discuss her care needs.
On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful. Her room was pleasant and warm. All her clothes were washed and returned. The staff listened to me and involved me in my mums care and seemed genuinely affectinate towards her.
When i visited she appeared happy and settled, she enjoyed the food and recieved drinks in between meals which was importent to her.

I have nothing negative to say and would be confident and happy to let me mum go back for further respite

Following an accident at home and a brief spell in hospital, my mum spent a week in the care home. The staff were really welcoming, professional and looked after my mum's needs during her time there. My mum's recovery was speedy and I put this in part with the way she was looked after by all staff. If I have any comments to make the care home is slightly dated and could benefit from a redecoration/refresh.

My aunt has always been happy living at Wellington Lodge. She loves all the care staff, who treat her with love and respect. She enjoys the food and drinks, all the common areas are clean and tidy. Unfortunately there are times when the bed and bathroom could do with a good clean.

My auntie is well cared for in Wellington Lodge. They know her likes and dislikes and go the extra mile to please her. She used to love all the activities when she was more active but unfortunately isn't able to take part as much now but the carers do all they can to include her and keep her engaged and happy. Thank you to them all.

We were reluctant for Mum to go here as it is far from home but Mum is really well looked after at Wellington Lodge. The staff are caring, compassionate and understanding especially when she gets upset or forgetful. She is always well dressed too. Mum has really enjoyed the musical activities, singing on the Karaoke, music quiz and playing instruments.

Wellington Lodge supported my mother-in-law to transfer from another location back in early May 2024. From the point of assessment and transfer to Manchester, the support and intervention that has followed the staff team have been exceptional. As family members, we have been made to feel welcome, always greeted with a smile and provided with updates when needed. My mother-in-law's transfer hasn't been without challenges but the staff team are open to working creatively and proactively to ensure assessment is prioritised and that interventions that follow meet individual support needs. On each visit, my mother-in-law's personal care needs have been met and staff share their conversations evidencing time spent getting to know her. The home is clean and tidy, other residents look happy and there are always staff in communal areas engaging with residents. I would highly recommend Wellington Lodge.

My nana has been at the home for quite a few months now and every single time I go in she looks so well, her hair is always washed and she is always happy, the staff are all so caring towards her. It’s so nice to see her looking her best all the time as the other home she was at her hair was always greasy and she was wheel-chaired around and always asked to go home, but now she is walking around and sees this as her home now, she has made such a U-turn. Her room is lovely and always clean and her clothes are always put back nicely, it’s so nice to see how well she is being looked after.

Always pleased with the care my mother receives. She is clean, happy and contented and always says, when I visit, that the staff are always kind, patient and look after her well.

The staff continually encourage her to eat and drink. Her health is significantly better than before she became a resident.
