My aunt is extremely well looked after, reassured if something frightens her, always looks clean, enjoys small portions of the food given. She was settled and well supported over Easter when family could not visit.

I visited my friend late last month and I must say what a wonderful home. It is very clean, the residents were all socialising in the main events room and the carers were all present which was reassuring. She throughly enjoys living there and has never had a problem with any aspect of the home. I
stayed until dinner time and the food smelt and looked delicious. The carers escorted everyone to the dining tables and served all the people who lived there together.

I cannot praise this care home enough I have been visited a friend twice now and bringing her lifelong friend too visit. The staff cannot do enough to make us feel welcome and offering beverages. The home is friendly atmosphere and spotless clean. I feel so home from home here and my only regret is
that I didn't know about this home when my late mother needed care. Excellent care home.

Dad was in the care home for a very short time and sadly passed away while there. He was well looked after and cared for by all the staff. It's a very nice care home with caring staff. They were very caring with me also when I got upset.

My mum came to Laburnum House Care Centre in September 2024. When I visited Laburnum House I knew I had found the best place for her. My initial walkaround was conducted with care and attention and the place itself was spotless. All the care staff were busy interacting with the residents in a joyful
and empathetic manner. I was invited to bring my mum and they made us both a lovely meal and showed off the room she could have. My mum moved in and the induction was amazing, they spent a couple of hours just with us, settling my mum in. I enjoy visiting every time and my mum is cared for like a family would care for someone. Recently they threw her a birthday party and made the room all special for her and our family and last week they created a memory for me and my brother by cooking a special meal just for the three of us. They did my mum's hair and make up, took pictures and then gave me a framed picture of us all to commemorate the day. I'm crying just typing that. It is a very special place.

My mother has Alzheimer's and has been a resident in Laburnum House for the last 3 years. We were so fortunate to get a place in Laburnum House, as soon as we needed. My mother settled in immediately and this is all down to the lovely, caring staff who work here. The compassion and kindness to all of

Edelyn

Edelyn Napa

Job Title: General Manager Joined: 2005

Edelyn was born and raised in the Philippines and the first industry she worked in was worlds away from care work too. Initially training and working in chemical engineering, Edelyn eventually found work as a production manager before training as an ISO auditor for eleven years.


But it wasn’t until 2004 that she found her true calling, when she decided to begin studying basic nursing in preparation for a move to the UK.


The Bloomcare family was excited to be able to welcome Edelyn in May 2005. The work came naturally to Edelyn and she soon began to climb the management ladder, eventually being chosen to manage the first Bloomcare home that we opened in Greater Manchester: Laburnum House. This was a huge responsibility and one that we felt we could only trust to Edelyn.


With our support, Edelyn has worked through various NVQ qualifications, and her wealth and variety of past experience has gifted her with the ability to communicate effectively with all kinds of people, as well as providing her with an indispensable set of leadership skills. All of these traits are central to the way that she runs Laburnum House. Everything that Edelyn and her staff do is carried out with the single goal of providing her residents with the highest level of bespoke care, with a focus on promoting independence, fostering healthy friendships, and retaining quality of life.
