Laburnum House is a very welcoming environment. The staff are professional, kind, patient and have a sense of humour. They treat residents with respect e.g. ensuring curtains are drawn when getting changed etc, that guests are not in the general main room for meal times etc. They try to give homely
touches to residents rooms. At a recent BBQ it was great to see a real range of guests including children and animals. It was nice to see families of the staff. You feel that they all genuinely like and get along well with each other. They have treated our parents with kindness and dignity.

I just wanted to share my experience of Abbotsbury Care Home, Southport, where my wife is staying. It has been a very positive experience. The staff are lovely, kind, friendly and always happy to help. It is clear they really care about the residents, not just in a professional way, but in a genuinely
warm and personal way. It's such a relief knowing my wife is in good hands. The home is clean, cosy and doesn't feel clinical. The communication with the staff has been great, always happy to answer questions and provide updates. I would definitely recommend Abbotsbury to anyone looking for a safe and caring place for a loved one. It has made a big difference to our family.

First contact was friendly and efficient. My appointment with the manager went well, and my husband was admitted two days later. We were all made to feel most welcome at a difficult time. The entire staff are friendly. It was 30 degrees outside, but inside was cool, calm and quiet. His room is clean
and bright, overlooking the well-kept garden. Whenever I visit, he is spotlessly clean and comfortable. He reports having slept well, and I am confident of his safety. The meals are excellent and served with courtesy. Medication is administered punctually, never rushed. Always treated with dignity, kindness and patience.

Rakewood is a safe and secure place for mum. It offers 24-hour round-the-clock care, and I am happy to say it's provided. Clean every time I visit, and nothing is too much for mum. Acacia Court

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Since arriving at Acacia Court in late December 2024, my elderly mum has flourished and honestly looks years younger. She has been in ill health for years and came to the home permanently after a particularly long stay in Hospital and honestly the improvement is staggering. She was unable to walk or
stand up - she is now shuffling about the place with her walker again. She was unable to do anything except sit and doze, she's now back reading countless books, doing her puzzles, taking an interest in life again and knitting and crocheting for the Annual Summer Fair! Its all testament to the lovely care environment she is in. The staff are all positive, proactive, and friendly and they care about their residents. She is extremely well looked after, is 'fed and watered' with a huge variety of meals. Her meds are issued properly; hygiene, health and general wellbeing monitored too. I cannot praise the management and staff enough and would highly recommend this home to people considering.
