The home is always clean and the staff welcoming. His room is excellent. He has a door to outside which is great as he has an electric wheelchair, and when spring comes her can go outside. The food has been hit and miss, and the quality could be better. Food prices are stabilising now, so residents
should see the results of this. Let's hope so.
Reply from Bernie Lewis, Home Manager at Arkwright HouseThank you for your feedback. We're pleased to hear you find the home clean and the team welcoming, and that the room and outdoor access work so well, especially with his electric wheelchair.

We also appreciate your comments about the food. We continually review our menus and suppliers to improve quality, and your feedback helps us with this. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

We find all the staff really helpful and professional. The chef creates great meals for the residents and Lyndsay the manager does a fantastic job in her role ensuring all standards are constantly met.
In all, the care home in my opinion is run and cared for by people who really are about the residents.

My friend Gail who has dementia is treated with respect and kindness by all of the staff (ie everyone including cleaners). They are very patient and understanding in all circumstances including her changing moods. Rowan Garth appears clean and residents look cared for she can't engage with all activities
but the person involved spends time with her reminiscing etc with her.

My dad is a service user and this review is because my mum went into see him yesterday and his bedroom floor is a disgrace and not has his bedding changed and we have told so many times that my mum is doing his washing and they have lost 3 pairs of pyjamas and 3 towels and they know not to do his washing,
and everytime you need to speak to a member of staff there is noone around, I got recommended this home but it's not as good as they say, I'm going to complain to CQC about this
Reply from Alina Popescu, General Manager at Arden CourtThank you for sharing your concerns.

We are sorry to hear your mum was upset following her visit to see your dad. We understand how important it is to feel confident he is comfortable and well cared for, and we apologise that the presentation of his room caused concern. This has been discussed with the team to ensure standards are maintained.

Regarding clothing and towels, we understand how worrying it can feel when items seem to be missing. We have checked and can confirm that all towels are accounted for. As your dad's clothing is not currently labelled, it can sometimes be difficult to identify individual items. We have spoken with your mum and will continue to work together to avoid further confusion. Staff have also been reminded that your mum manages his washing.

We value feedback and remain here to listen and work together to support your dad's dignity, comfort and wellbeing

Hi I would like to convey to all staff at Arden Court and general public how absolutely grateful I am that my Mother Margaret , was in your care for the last 6 years of her life.
I feel that you all must be commended for your kindness , understanding and top drawer care you gave my dear
Mother. The whole of Arden Court have been respectful, tolerant and flexible regarding my Mother's overall well being , health needs and social activities too.
I know that the rest of Margaret's children would agree with all this and more, as they spent more time with staff than I did.
During Margaret's declining weeks I stayed with my Mother for long periods of time and I saw for myself how very beloved she was, and she was shown every dignity, heartfelt care and compassion.
Every care and consideration was given to myself and my siblings too during this very sad time. I felt respected and listened to .
I would recommend Arden Court absolutely .
Reply from Alina Popescu, Home Manager at Arden CourtIt was an absolute privilege to care for Margaret over the past six years. She was a much-loved member of our Arden Court family, and we are incredibly proud that we were able to support her with the dignity, compassion, and respect she so richly deserved.

We are especially grateful for your recognition of the team during Margaret's final weeks. Your recommendation is deeply appreciated.

Mum has just gone into Acacia Court for some much needed respite. I initially visited here with my daughter to take a look around, we found the management team of Lyndsey and Gul to be very welcoming and made us feel that they would give mum the care that she needed. We were shown around the building
and were able to choose mums room ourselves. We left feeling that this would be an ideal place for mum and her needs.
We took mum there a couple of days later and she loved the place, she loved her room and settled in quickly. We only met 2 or 3 staff but they were all lovely, both male and female, very professional but it was clearly all natural, they were all lovely towards my mum. I returned again the next day to check on mum and found her sat in the lounge with a smile on her face, she even asked if she could stay there permanently. That was such a relief to here. Admittedly shes only been there a couple of days but the future is looking positive. Thank you to everyone. 5 stars.

Mums previous care home was no longer meeting her needs so we moved her to Linden House approximately 2 months ago. I thought the move might unsettle her or have a detrimental effect on her health but quite the opposite has happened. The staff are outstanding and their nursing care and expertise has
made a huge difference to mums day to day life. There is always some activity or other going on or some nice music playing and each and every one of the staff really seem to 'care' about the residents, they are friendly and helpful whenever we visit and the home is always very clean. Overall it just 'feels right' and I have absolutely no doubt that we made the best decision in moving Mum to Linden House.
