Myself and family attended the Summer Fayre on Sat 8th Aug. we took Mam outside to enjoy the music (which was singers and a lovely choir) it made it special to have live singers. The whole staff, some who had come on their days off to enjoy the day were also helping the residents in their usual faultless caring way. So much effort and hard work from staff; including catering staff. It was a fabulous day. Mam loved the stalls, tombolla etc.

Reply from Lyndsey Rafferty, Registered Manager at Acacia Court

We're delighted you and your family enjoyed our Summer Fayre and that your mam had such a wonderful time. It's fantastic to hear she enjoyed the live music, stalls and tombola. We're very proud of our caring team and their dedication to making these special days memorable for our residents and families. Thank you.

Staff are brilliant with my mum who likes her independence but needs a little help.
I've come to see mum multiple times and staff are engaged with her and dancing.

Rooms always clean and she enjoys her food.

I can't thank the staff at this care home enough for the care and kindness they show my mum. Since she has dementia, knowing that she is being looked after by such a wonderful team means so much to our family.
Every member of staff is brilliant. They are caring, patient, compassionate and always treat Mum with dignity and respect. It's clear that they genuinely care about her wellbeing, and that gives us enormous reassurance as a family.

Leaving a loved one in residential care is never easy, but the kindness and dedication of the staff make such a difference. We are truly grateful to every single one of them for everything they do for Mum, day in and day out. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Xx.

My Dad arrived on Moss house in November 25 , from the minute he arrived he was treated with the utmost care and respect nothing was ever too much .
Dad was happy and content as was always treated with kindness and respect .
Unfortunately his health declined and in January he was transferred onto Oak house ,again we couldn't of asked for any better care he was treated with so much respect and all care needs done in a dignified manner.

Sadly in April my dad declined more and was made palliative i can honestly say we couldn't of asked for anymore from the staff they truly where amazing infact absolute Angels . We stayed with Dad for 8 days before he passed and we where looked after just as much as he was this was lovely , during the hardest days all staff Kitchen, laundry , maintenance , activities no matter what job if we seen them they always tried to make it more bearable which we will never forget , If we were ever in that position again again I would 100 % choose Rowan Garth

My dad has dementia and was in hospital & we needed to find a new care home for my Dad. It was a very stressful time, but as soon as I got in contact with both the deputy and the manager, they were so reassuring that they would look after Dad and meet his needs. All the staff have been so kind and can't do enough for him, and the fact he has settled in so well is testament to them. I couldn't be happier with the home, It's spotless and is full of love for the residents. Would highly recommend Abbotsbury.

My mother has been a resident at the home for five-years. The staff are friendly, attentive to my mother's needs and professional. There is also consistency with limited turnover of staff, which is unusual in this sector.

The home's manager arranges social events and entertainment for the residents and their families. My mother recently celebrated her birthday and the staff decorated her room, sent cards and provided balloons and a birthday cake. They then gathered to sing 'Happy Birthday'. This extra effort is greatly appreciated by me and the family.

A well led and well run care home.

My mum has been a resident within Beech House for over 2 years. The care staff are amazing. Mum is very well looked after. Her needs are taken into account and she receives 24/7 support. I am kept informed of any changes, any medical requirements and also receive follow-up calls from medical staff, when required. All the staff within the unit are friendly and attentive to all their residents. Events are celebrated within the unit, i.e., Chinese New Year, Easter, Xmas and the communal room decorated, encouraging all to be involved. Selection of activities could maybe be increased. But overall I believe Beech House to be a lovely place to be looked after.

Reply from Lisa Casey, Home Manager at Rowan Garth Care Village

In April, I visited a friend at Acacia Court, she is now a resident there. I was greeted warmly by a member of staff and took me to see my friend, soon after I was offered tea and biscuits when the residents had their afternoon cuppa. All the residents seemed happy and content, having good interaction with the staff, who all had a sense of humour and amazing dialogue with each person. I experienced laughter and fun, this seems to be the very essence of the home. Great staff and manager. Would recommend.

My Aunt, with dementia has been in respite care for the last few weeks in Acacia Court and the difference the Manager and staff have made to her have been honestly remarkable! She has gone from being a very agitated and angry lady to a very happy and contented one, loving dancing and interacting with other residents. Dementia is a horrible disease but we can't believe the quality of life she's found in Acacia Court despite her illness. This is all down to Lyndsay who is amazing and the lovely staff. They treat the residents as family and individuals and go above and beyond in making them feel at home and happy and making their lives as normal as possible, even trips to a cafe and shopping! I couldn't wish for a better place for her to be and she hasn't asked about her own home once in her time there! Thank you for giving my uncle the peace of mind knowing she is happy and well taken care of. Thank you Lyndsay, you are a very special person!

Myself, my mother, and Lexi one of the carers visited the Pub for a meal out as a treat for my mother. The carers got my mum ready, chief amongst the Cloes, Nicky, and most of all Lexi, who accompanied us. She was good company throughout and was very pleasant. The next day, I returned to visit my mum at Hampton, where we were amply provided for by Janet and the day staff.

My mother is being looked after very well; her needs are being met. However, some days are better than others for her because of the nature and severity of her illness. Despite this, she is responsive, and you can still have a conversation with her.

I am delighted by the care and support my mum has received since moving to Abbotsbury in January this year.

As a family we have found the staff to be very kind, supportive, encouraging and they show mum wonderful respect and warmth.

Small things can mean so much and in particular I was very touched that when I needed to take mum to a hospital appointment (her first time leaving the home since moving there) on return the staff member opening the front door said to mum 'welcome home' Just a couple of words but so kind.

Mum arrived in a very vulnerable position in her life. From the moment we contacted the home to now 2 months later I am delighted with mum's progress. She's a different lady. She laughs again, she's eating properly, joins in the activities which she was adamant she never would.

Karen, Andy and all the team are very supportive to both mum but also me. They knew how difficult this was for us as a family but their support has been wonderful.
