Overall Experience1.0 out of 5
Medication was erratic and not dispensed according to the client's needs.
Food and drink of a very poor standard. Nutrition is obviously way down their priorities and same evening food served three nights in a row!
Basic attention to detail was extremely poor.
The manager didn't seem to be aware
what was going on.
Reply from Julie Hodges, Registered Manager at Stoneleigh HouseI am a little disappointed with this review, Stoneleigh has not received any form of official complaint with regards to these matters to be given a chance to rectify any possible issues in the first instance, the name is also not a recognised name to the home as we have a good rapport with all service users and families as this is a part of our role we strive to achieve. There are many professional teams that attend Stoneleigh on a regular basis and we get compliments as a team on regularly around the delivery of care and the caring nature of the team as a whole, There are different options for every meal and sandwiches on offer every evening as another option for those that don't want a warm meal or the other options of meal choices. Our chef holds level 2 certification in healthy eating and food hygiene amongst other certifications in food and is aware of all dietary requirements of the service users. All medications are delivered in accordance with the dispensing labels.

Overall Experience5.0 out of 5
My father-in-law has been a resident at Stoneleigh for 4-years. The staff at the home are amazing - I can't praise them enough! They care and look after the residents like they are their own family! Nothing is too much trouble, even on tough days; they are always smiling and cheerful.
When we visit,
they are welcoming and friendly and seeing the lovely interaction they have with the residents is wonderful to watch.
They do a tough job (under paid in my opinion) taking care of our family members when the difficult choice has to be made that they can no longer be cared for in their own homes, but they are considerate to us as a family, keeping us informed and reassured, communicating frequently on any worries or developments straight away.
The company that owns Stoneleigh should be very proud of its team.
Thank you so much for everything you have done and continue to do!

Inspection ratings
We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
