Medication was erratic and not dispensed according to the client's needs.
Food and drink of a very poor standard. Nutrition is obviously way down their priorities and same evening food served three nights in a row!
Basic attention to detail was extremely poor.
The manager didn't seem to be aware
what was going on.
Reply from Julie Hodges, Registered Manager at Stoneleigh HouseI am a little disappointed with this review, Stoneleigh has not received any form of official complaint with regards to these matters to be given a chance to rectify any possible issues in the first instance, the name is also not a recognised name to the home as we have a good rapport with all service users and families as this is a part of our role we strive to achieve. There are many professional teams that attend Stoneleigh on a regular basis and we get compliments as a team on regularly around the delivery of care and the caring nature of the team as a whole, There are different options for every meal and sandwiches on offer every evening as another option for those that don't want a warm meal or the other options of meal choices. Our chef holds level 2 certification in healthy eating and food hygiene amongst other certifications in food and is aware of all dietary requirements of the service users. All medications are delivered in accordance with the dispensing labels.

Lovely staff put the person first. Mum was poorly after leaving hospital. Lost weight and wasn't walking.
She loves the food and staff, plus they got her walking again. The only issue is no shower room but this is being installed so overall very good. Thank you, Hadfield staff.

My father-in-law has been a resident at Stoneleigh for 4-years. The staff at the home are amazing - I can't praise them enough! They care and look after the residents like they are their own family! Nothing is too much trouble, even on tough days; they are always smiling and cheerful.
When we visit,
they are welcoming and friendly and seeing the lovely interaction they have with the residents is wonderful to watch.
They do a tough job (under paid in my opinion) taking care of our family members when the difficult choice has to be made that they can no longer be cared for in their own homes, but they are considerate to us as a family, keeping us informed and reassured, communicating frequently on any worries or developments straight away.
The company that owns Stoneleigh should be very proud of its team.
Thank you so much for everything you have done and continue to do!

My brother stayed here from November till September, he tried many care homes before and never settled, until he got to Springfield House. The staff are absolutely wonderful and caring people. It is like one big family. They provide a great service for each person's needs. Very welcoming to relatives.
Always able to call and ask about your loved ones. Rooms are nice, food was also good for residents. My brother had the best treatment, care and dignity and right up to his last breath staff were there for him. Thank you.

My dad spent five weeks in another Oldham care home before moving into Hadfield House just over two weeks ago. The other care home rang and asked us to collect Dad because they couldn't care for him. The manager and her team at Hadfield House, knowing the behaviours my dad was displaying (he is ten
years into having dementia), agreed to take Dad in. What a difference two weeks makes. He has regained his sparkle and was actually laughing when we visited today. I cannot thank the manager and the team enough for the amazing care they are giving Dad - it was lovely to see my mum properly smile today for the first time in months.

In the years my mother has been a resident at Hadfield House she has been treated with care, concern and, above all, dignity. Today she passed away, aged 93, in the room that she had come to call home and with the kindness and consideration of everyone around her. The manager and staff are, in the eyes

My sister resides at Hadfield House and I'm a regular visitor. I know she is in the right place for her condition as the staff seem well trained and are extremely kind and understanding to residents who I imagine can be extremely difficult.
It's vital for me to know my sister is safe and I feel that's
the case at Hadfield House.
Care plans are available to view on request and are current and up to date, management are approachable if any concerns arise as are staff.
The house is clean and tidy. The grounds are well maintained presenting overall a good picture of tranquillity including an outdoor area which is pleasant in nice weather. Entertainment is frequent and all the residents enjoy themselves in their own ways. I have read the official report on Hadfield House and although the conclusion was that `improvement is required` the matters raised at the time of the report are not evident now in my opinion. To conclude, I'm happy that my sis resides here and gives me no reason to worry at all.

I have had the pleasure of observing my relative live out her remaining years here at Springfield. The staff and their manager are wonderful caring people. I was very impressed at the dignity they always ensured, the level of dedication and feelings they have towards their residents too.
This home
operates the 6 step programme which was a wonderful way to give my relative some control back as she moved through the final stage of life, as you can imagine it was a very distressing time to lose a loved one. But the staff made it possible to be there every step of the way and they went out of their way to ensure we were cared for too.

After 14 months dealing with this care home my opinions have changed to not being satisfied. Needs bringing into the 21st century!!!!!!! Would not recommend until certain criteria has been achieved and the residents put first at all times and many procedures updated.
