Situated in an attractive residential area just outside of Rochdale in Lancashire, Oakland care home provides personalised residential and residential dementia care for older people.

Every corner of the welcoming and purpose-built home has been carefully thought through to offer an engaging environment for residents. With a sunny conservatory, hair salon, nail bar, sensory garden and a range of tastefully decorated single and en-suite bedrooms to choose from, residents benefit from a number of places to socialise with others as well as quieter spots to relax and unwind.

Meal times are a big focus at Oakland, and the catering team apply their creativity and culinary skills to offer a diverse menu that also meets the nutritional needs of each resident. I visit on a weekly basis to bring holy communion to the catholic residents. The staff are always helpful to me and caring. All residents are well cared for and supported.

I can't fault this place at all, especially not the loving carers which work here.
Nothing is too much to ask for.
My parents are being looked after so well and much more than that there are people which love doing their work and share there kindness and love to make each day a pleasure for the
people that live here. Fantastic! It's the second time I have been here because I live in a different country but it is perfect!

I visited my friend numerous times at Oakland, I always saw how well the whole team worked together and fussed over us the whole time. Such friendly staff. Management always very gracious and helpful to any queries we had. Clean, great food, great company. Great job guys.

Overall very satisfied with the care my mum is receiving, care is compassionate, dignified and reactive to her health needs.
The senior manager and unit manager are superb.
A minor incident involving a new carer that caused concern was immediately addressed.
The home adheres to policies and procedures
and relatives' inclusion. Thank you sincerely to the senior manager and all the staff.

Since my mum and Dad moved into Oakland in December I have had no complaints at all. The manager and staff work so hard and treat all residents and visitors with dignity and respect.
The home is lovely and clean and my mum and dad are well fed and well looked after at all times.

My mum was a resident at Oakland until she sadly passed. I cannot praise highly enough the staff and the care my mum received. They also looked after me and other relatives. Lovely lovely. I know my mum was happy there.

Would highly recommend Oaklands Care Home, my mum was a resident for 12 months before she died, the management and carers were brilliant outstanding care for Mum.
They really looked after all our family and we are a large family.

We would just like to say a very big thank you to the manager and her outstanding team. From the moment our parent entered Oakland Care Home in January, she and all our family were made to feel most welcome.
It truly is a second home from home, and the care from the outstanding team is second to none.
It takes a special person to care for someone, and this place is dripping with people who care!
The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the living room and dining areas are great communal areas to participate in activities or just have some company. The resident was very happy there and made great friends.
We cannot praise the staff enough. They were actually outstanding, and it shows great leadership of the manager and her team to make people feel wanted, special and cared for.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Oakland Care Home. It is a wonderful place.

Oakland Care home is the most welcoming place you could visit. All the staff are friendly, and there is always plenty going on. The manager and her staff are excellent and gave great advice on what's happening and things to do. The food is outstanding, and the home is always clean and tidy.

My mum was in only for a week but she loved her stay. Staff fabulous, so caring. Room lovely. Food and drinks all the time. Entertainment all the time. I know she was taken care of and can't thank everyone for taking the time to take care of her. So will, if I need, call them again and would recommend

Ren has gained over 20 years of experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Ren joined Oakland care home as Home Manager as she closely shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Ren remarked: “I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”


Outside of work, Ren loves nothing more than indulging in her love for trying new food.
