My mum has been in Oakland Care Home for some 4 years. The home has a nice warm feeling. She has been well cared for. The carers are very genuine. I have no worries about her care when I am not there. Whenever there is a problem with mum's health, the carers phone me immediately and keep me updated.

The staff are very caring and helpful, always on hand to answer any questions. The home always smells clean. But I would like to be in place that if he has to go to A&E that one of the staff go with him. He likes it here but I know he is hard work at times, but I thank everyone there for the care.

My mother has been a resident for almost 7 years. Her family visit her daily. We have seen many changes in managers and care staff. Some have been exemplary in their roles. Good listeners and patient and kind, although not all. We are currently awaiting the appointment of a new permanent manager....

When I visited, I found the home nicely decorated for Christmas the atmosphere warm and friendly the residents clean and nicely dressed. My friend said the food was very good and the staff caring.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Oakland Care Home due to the excellent care the staff give to their residents. I can go home after visiting Mum and relax knowing she is in safe hands and don't have to worry. They all deserve a medal.
