My mum has resided at Worsley Lodge for over 2 years now and has thrived in a caring environment. The staff have treated my mum with care, friendliness and dignity. The home is kept clean and very rarely do you smell a bad odour which is probably unavoidable at times. Sometimes I think the regular staff
are "pulled out" but I know they are doing there best to care for my mum. Worsley Lodge has just had a refurbishment and everywhere is looking lovely.

A lot of upgrade to home recently. Lots of nice, bright warm colours everywhere. Clean and fresh looking home with no unpleasant odours. Staff always friendly and helpful. My mother's room is spotless and a good choice of food which is all freshly cooked and smells lovely when we visit.

Amazing care home. Everything the carers do is to make their residents comfortable and secure. Lots of activities are put in place and residents are encouraged to join in. Their personal care i.e hairdressing and beauty is available every week.
The food is excellent and all made on the premises. Bedrooms
are a little tired but to be fair these are all being refurbished in the future.
As a family, we are all feeling very blessed that our lovely mum is in a perfect place thanks to all the wonderful staff.

Sometimes we think you could do with more staff, i.e. toilets and mealtimes as some people need the toilet straight after meals.
People have been great when we asked if our parents could be accommodated together. Thanks for that!
The staff are very helpful and try to help as much as they can considering
how busy they are.
Reply from HC-One, Careline Team at Worsley Lodge Care HomeThank you for your very kind comments. Regarding the staffing levels we do check the dependency levels of our residents on a regular basis and adjust the staffing levels accordingly. If our occupancy levels fall then we do flex our staff to reflect this.

Mum been in since May 2016, mum settled well although her latest stroke has left her blind. Asked staff to encourage mum to sit in a recliner chair as she keeps refusing although her back hurts and it's clear they are trying their best. They also encourage her to join in all the activities which helps
her mix with other residents. Families are always made welcome and there are always other fancy members for support. Mum's bedroom is small but always clean and tidy and has a nice feel.

All the staff at Worsley Lodge Care Home are just so lovely, they are always kind, considerate and happy. They look after my auntie so well. It doesn't matter what time of day or night that we visit we are always welcomed and she looks so clean and well cared for. Her room is always spotless and smells
beautiful. She has her hair done each week and her nails painted and even though she is 96 years of age and has limited mobility she is taken on trips and meals. Thank you all so much from the manager, all staff and housekeeper.

My brother has been at Worsley Lodge since Feb 2014. The family are all very pleased with the care he has received during his stay. We feel we are very fortunate he is being cared for in such a compassionate and dignified way. We are very grateful to the staff and everyone who looks after my brother.

Staff very caring, interested, open, keen to have family involvement, welcoming. Deal well with any issues and problems, listen and act on issues that arise. I.e. clothing, falls - keen to have input and resolve problems - just as in any family - understanding and dignity are key to providing a homely
environment.

I visit my cousin twice a week. The staff i find are efficient, friendly and very caring towards the residents and visitors. The home has singers entertaining the residents and visitors, lots of singing and dancing which is fun. My cousin has settled in well and he is comfortable. I feel he is well
looked after and we can't ask for any more than that.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.608)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.608) out of 10 for Worsley Lodge Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.608 for Worsley Lodge Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (189 Excellents x 5) + (86 Goods x 4) + (12 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 288 Ratings = 4.608
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Worsley Lodge Care Home is based on 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 48 registered maximum number of service users is 9.6, which has been reached with 24 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
