Mum has visibly improved both mentally and physically since moving into Worsley Lodge, having struggled for 6 months following a series of illnesses and accidents in her home. She has also benefited from the social aspect with the regular company and contact.

Myself and my family are very pleased with the care and support my Mum receives at Worsley Lodge. I would like to thank all the staff, nothing seems too much trouble and they are always very kind and helpful. It is comforting to know that she is looked after by staff who keep us up to date with videos
and calls.

The care my mother has received has been excellent from the very professional, kind and caring staff who work there. Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, the staff have been very informative about what has been happening, providing information in an honest and open way. Personally, I would like to thank
all at the home who have been fantastic during the last 3 months in a very difficult time with a special mention to the manager and her team.

There has been one or two issues, such as clothes not being returned form laundry etc, but they have been resolved.
My husband has been here since May 2019 and seems quite happy with his surroundings and enjoys the activities, especially the outings.
Most of the staff are lovely and make me feel
welcome when I visit my husband.

Our sister/sister-in-law is well looked after and is happy. Most of the carers that we see weekly are pleasant and caring. Her room is always tidy and clean. You could do with a regular hairdresser.

A lovely home. My gran has a great time here and is very happy, she loves going out on the trips and socialising and reminiscing. It would be an awful shame if the Worsley Lodge would lose a bus based here because they go out on lots of trips.

My Auntie has been a resident at Worsley Lodge since October 2018.

My Aunties room and en-suite is always clean, tidy and well maintained. So too are the communal areas and self-contained garden, which she really enjoys. My Auntie tells me the food is very good and she always seems to be enjoying

a cup of tea and cake with her friends when I visit.

A hairdresser, chiropodist, etc are amongst many support services available and general activities seem varied, frequent and also include trips to local attractions. At eighty-six, it’s really given her a new lease of life!

However, what really differentiates Worlsey Lodge in my eyes is the outstanding level of care and support provided by all the team. Nothing ever seems too much trouble for this group of unsung heroes and knowing she’s surrounded by people who are dedicated and passionate about their vocation has really put my mind at ease. Thank you, Worsley Lodge!

I visit my grandad at lease three times a week. I have always found him to be clean, his room neat and tidy. Plenty of hot drinks and different members of staff coming in to check on him. If there was any problem I'm sure grandad would let the family know.

The home is lovely. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They never stop working, very hard working. The wages are too low, they deserve more money.
Activities are great, always something going on or trips out. I am very pleased overall.

My dad appears to be well looked after, is as happy and comfortable as he can be.
The staff are very caring and helpful and attentive to the needs of the residents.
There are plenty of activities and outings arranged for the residents too, with variety to suit most people, without the obligation to
join in if they don't want to. Staff are generally aware of the needs and interests of the residents and therefore, activities etc at catered for.
Generally, I would say over the 4 years my dad has been a resident, he is well cared for.

Staff work hard but feel that sometimes they find they have a lot to do. Nice to see additional staff today. The Lodge is in a lovely setting and the Lodge and dining room nicely decorated.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.608)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.608) out of 10 for Worsley Lodge Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.608 for Worsley Lodge Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (189 Excellents x 5) + (86 Goods x 4) + (12 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 288 Ratings = 4.608
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Worsley Lodge Care Home is based on 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 48 registered maximum number of service users is 9.6, which has been reached with 24 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
