It would be a huge value to the care home if there could be an increase in care staff as it would provide more personal care and attention for each vulnerable resident.

The care home is very well run, caring for all the resident's needs. There is adequate staffing, but as always would benefit from extra staff to cover whenever they are short-staffed. If they were able to have voluntary helpers, this would also be of great value. The carers or helpers would have enough time then if staffing levels were increased, to spend that valuable important time needed with the vulnerable. I hope this issue can be addressed in all homes.

I visited Mumon three consecutive days as I live 200 miles away. Due to Covid restrictions, I was unable to look around the care home so cannot comment on cleanliness. All staff appear efficient, professional and caring towards Mum. She was well looked after and seemed happy and settled in her new environment. She passed favourable comments about food and activities. Overall I felt she was in good hands.

Mum has been at Bamford Close for three years now and although she struggled to settle in initially staff were extremely caring and supportive and she settled quite quickly. Due to her dementia she can sometimes be quite difficult to manage however, the staff are very patient and manage her behaviour in a extremely professional manner. Although the home is a little tired it is always kept very clean and I have never noticed any unpleasant smell which you can in some homes, although some of the furniture in the bedrooms could do with updating.

My mum arrived at Bamford Close Care Home not long before Covid 19. She settled in well and staff were very helpful. Her medical and dietary needs were met. During lockdown I have had confidence Mum is ok by receiving emails and phone calls. Staff are very friendly and supportive and they are doing the very best for my mum. A big thank you to all.

I will pass the comments on to the staff, it is always heartwarming for the staff to know that families are grateful for all we do especially during these past few uncertain times.

I reviewed several homes before placing my brother at Bamford Close. I was not wrong with my assessment. My brother is very happy and very well cared for and has settled in well. Obviously Covid has played a big part this year. Nothing is perfect (we live in the real world) but the care has been excellent. Any issues have been dealt with quickly. I have taken great comfort in knowing my brother is in the best place for his needs and they are being well met. I have over 20 years experience in the caring profession which gives me an insight and understanding of issues faced during this past very trying year. Bamford Close has been excellent, anyone who knows me professionally will tell you I have very high standards and I do not give praise casually.

My mother has been at Bamford Close since December 2019. The staff have been amazing especially through the difficult times of lockdown through COVID. Communication has been great and I can’t thank everyone enough for the dedicated care they have shown my mum.
Prior to Bamford, my mum had been living independently it has therefore been a stressful time (more so for me than my mum!!) however, my mother seems to have settled in fabulously mainly due to the fantastic care and compassion shown by the staff.
The environment is warm and welcoming and both my husband and I find it a pleasure visiting.

P.s I can’t really comment on the food however I’m sure it’s excellent!!

Dad came to Bamford Close as the home went to isolation with no visitors. It was hard, we wished to ensure he settled, with isolation we were very worried. The carers/staff immediately put our minds at ease. Since his arrival we are very pleased with how he has responded to his new surroundings and new friends, which I imagine with his capacity are still very confusing/a shock to the system.
Whenever we have spoken to any of the team they have been very helpful and caring and genuinely have a good rapport with Dad despite his occasional lapses. We have both used the option of window visits, again the team being extremely helpful ensuring Dad is as comfortable as he can be so that we can have a good conversation with him and recently had our first face to face gazebo visit which was great seeing Dad (under PPE social distancing) without a window to distract him.

Thank you for Dad' care/daily mental stimulation, very much appreciated, especially at this difficult time.

Visit to Bamford Close was well organised and kept to all the government guidelines regarding social distancing.

My husband was well turned out and appeared happy and contented although I noticed that his walking was unsteady and much slower. This is of concern and I would like to know how much exercise he is getting. Even in ‘lockdown’ exercise is very important to his health and well being. I am also concerned how much time he is spending in his room with very little stimulation. He spends most of his day either sleeping or staring at the wall. He says he likes being left alone in his room which is an option for the staff.

My dad has been Bamford Close since mid-January and I have always been struck by the openness and friendly welcome from the staff. During the COVID crisis, they have worked extremely hard to keep everyone informed. I have been very impressed with the clarity of information regarding the way in which family can now visit in safe ways.

My Aunt has been at Bamford Close for nearly 4 years and during that time I have had no reason to fault the care given by all the staff. They take great care to keep her looking lovely and there is no doubt she is very happy and settled when I leave her after a visit. I have no worries as they look after her so well.
Her room is always very clean and tidy.

Finding a place at Bamford close has been the nest we could wish for.

The carers and senior staff care for the residents as if they are part of their family. I really couldn't do a better job myself. I completely trust every member of staff to give the best care to my mum. They are kind, considerate and keep me updated with any issues I should be aware of.
The building is split into four smaller lounges and is clean and very well maintained with new ideas for the residents continually being introduced. They have a hairdresser, regular visits from a podiatrist and fantastic food with a choice of mains at mealtime.

My mum is very happy here which also makes me happy.

This care home is very pleasant and happy place. The staff and management are very caring and hard working, consistently providing help and support for all the residents. The home has a positive atmosphere which helps lift people's spirit. I couldn't be happier with my mother's care overall. She has lived here for four years now and is more settled than ever this year, which I put down to the hardworking staff and management

All staff caring and friendly, often beyond the job (the extra mile). My husband is safe, well looked after and cared about. I could not ask for more and I express these thoughts to people wherever I go if I am asked.

During my visit to Bamford Close, it was clear from an early stage how caring the staff are. The home is well presented and staff are passionate about creating themed sensory areas. Staff never seemed rushed with people who live there and were patient. The staff have a great understanding of dementia and are reassuring to residents. There are a variety of activities on offer and people are supported to regularly enjoy trips out. It was refreshing to see how hands on the management team are and the good rapport they have with staff and residents alike.

My grandma feels very happy and safe at Bamford Close. She has stated on more than one occasion that she feels comfortable and like she is home. The staff are friendly and polite to her and the rest of the residents and are always happy to answer my families questions and reassure us that she is doing well.

Mum is happy most of the time, however, the lounge can sometimes be tense and noisy and this does upset her and make her anxious. She enjoys activities but sometimes the activities advertised don't happen. I've heard some residents and visitors complain about the food but I've never seen it and mum can't remember what she's eaten so has no complaint, she's put weight on though so she gets plenty. I like that the staff don't change all the time.
