Greatwood House

Greatwood House is a very caring care home. My Aunt has been a resident here for 12 months and I cannot fault her care especially with current circumstances. My husband's father was in this care home 12 years ago and he was also well cared for. The staff are very helpful and always keep us in touch if we are needed.

To place a loved one into a care home is a monumental and very difficult decision. We'd struggled so much with my mother-in-law. We were filled with guilt and relief when she entered Greatwoof House. It was the best decision we made, and in my opinion, literally saved her life. They've all been absolute angels, and we, as a family, have not had a single problem of any kind. It's been particularly difficult of late because, after Covid, she was placed on palliative care. It is down to the love and dedication of the staff that she's now off palliative care and well again.

I cannot begin to thank everyone who worked at Greatwood House for the love and care with which they showed my dad and us as relatives. The care, with which he was looked after, was excellent! I can honestly say with hand on heart, that they nursed him back to life, after how poorly he was when he first went in. I have never had an issue with any part of his care or with any member of staff. Every member of the staff there is lovely and welcoming. My dad loved living there, and I could sleep easy at night knowing he was being well looked after. All I can say is a massive thank you to them!

My mother-in-law came to live at Greatwood House in July 2015. In the time that she has been here, we have come to know all the staff, they work hard and are always focused on giving the best care possible, nothing is too much trouble for them. We as a family are happy when we leave the home that my mother-in-law is getting the best care possible.

My experience as a friend of a resident when she was a resident here was that she was well looked after and the staff were excellent. My friend could be demanding but the girls looked after her so very well. I have recommended to other people to Greatwood House.

As always the care at Greatwood us superb and the staff dedicated and caring and approachable. my mother is safe and very well cared for.

I have found all staff to be caring, attentive and supportive in all of my father's needs. All staff are very helpful and communicate extremely well with the family.

I am writing this review on behalf of my husband who has difficulty filling in forms. He seems very happy and contented with Greatwood. He attends twice weekly and looks forward to going.

I myself have spoken on occasion to members of staff who I find to be very helpful, understanding and kind.

I am very happy that my husband enjoys his two days visits and I have no concerns whatsoever.

The staff are always kind and attentive with her and she informs me she enjoys the food they give her. So this reassures me she is being cared for.

I am quite satisfied with the care I have received at the daycare.

My husband has been at Greatwood House for 2 years now.

We have always been treated in a professional manner and my husband has always been treated with respect and dignity. Care staff and management always deal with any issues that arise promptly.

An excellent team very helpful and caring, the carers were brilliant, always around and helping. The food was very good and always a drink on the table.

Would highly recommend this place to others wishing for their loved ones to be in a safe, caring environment.

My nanna was very happy with her stay, she said she would most definitely stay here again. All the staff were wonderful, she met some lovely friends and the food was great. She is actually sad to leave which is lovely to see. Thank you all for taking such good care of her.

I feel a bit cut off from the outside world. It would be nice to go out a bit more.

On the while a caring, clean care home that I would recommend.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much for them to do.
