Comfortable, well fed & well cared for.

Overall, we are satisfied with the care our dad receives. If there is an issue, we do speak to staff and the problem is rectified.

I have been on a two week respite following a vascular surgery operation at a local hospital. I could not ask for a more caring environment. The nursing and house keeping staff as well as the management team were most supportive and understanding, especially when I felt low. I wish all the best to the staff.

Since being in respite at Greatwood House, my mum looks well. She has enjoyed the food and will be coming back into the home in June. All the staff have been very good, especially the manager.

I think the experience of my mothers respite was excellent. My mums looks well and it has done her good. Staff have been very friendly and helpful. I've not seen my mum with a big smile on her face for a long time and she has one now.

Since my aunt moved into Greatwood House on the 13th January 2016. She has become more outgoing and sociable, the staff are very helpful in every way. She loves it in there and we love her being there. It's great.

My partner has just been in, only for 6 days to give me a break and I am really pleased the way they looked after him. Apart from him having a sore on his head which was down to his own stupidity I cannot fault his care. We do have a few bits of clothing missing but all we have back are all clean and I am sure the rest will be found for us, this is to be expected with so much going through the laundry. The staff are very pleasant and caring, although I have not seen my partner for the time he has been in I am aware of the care he has been given all to my satisfaction. When collecting him I asked how it had been and he said "yes it was okay". Now for him to say that it must have been good as he would most certainly say if it was terrible. He has Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia so to me this is a breakthrough when he says OK. I would certainly use Greatwood again when we next need a break. With ref to standards etc, I can only enter what I think, with not being there hard to comment.

My late Mother was at Greatwood suffering from Dementia for around 3 1/2 years before recently passing away.

During my Mothers time in Greatwood I believe she received the very best of care and was treated like one of the family. She was kept clean, had her hair done once a week, and called by her first name - this helped maintain her personality and dignity throughout. The care given was excellent and consistent 24/7/365.

My mother was involved in activities and went on a couple of day trips with the home which she thoroughly enjoyed.

The food was always good and the home kept tidy. My Mother loved sitting in the garden in the summer months.

Since my aunt has been here she has become more like her old self. Very happy and contented. The staff and everyone are marvellous and go that one step further, nothing too much for them. Always smiling and pleasant.

I think its very nice here, and I would like to live here myself when I get older. The girls are all nice and I feel welcome.

The care team continue to work extremely hard maintaining a happy, safe and comfortable home for all the residents. With a new manager, senior team and activity organiser in place I'm confident Greatwood House will go from strength to strength.
