Mum has been at Holme Lea for some time now. She has settled in extremely well and is doing good. The staff are very helpful and always see to mums needs. Her room is lovely and well presented. She is a big lover of the garden and enjoys sitting out in the sunshine.

We as a family can’t fault the home. Good all round team and a happy mum

Since my grandmother has moved into Holme Lea the staff have been more than amazing. It was very hard for us as a family to put Gran into care but we have found the right place.

Manager and his staff work so hard. The home is lovely and clean and the home feel when you walk in is what sold us when we looked for a place for our gran. It’s a lovely environment and nothing is too much for the staff.

My mum has been at the home for approx 14-months, and she says how good the staff are and how hard they work. When I phone and go to visit, they are always friendly and helpful. The only other comment is when they are short-staffed, Mum worries that the staff have a lot to put up with and are under pressure.

We visited quite a few homes, we wanted one near our home and easy to drive to. We decided on Home Lea because of its pleasant location and caring staff. Our relative has been a resident of Home Lea now for over two years, and it has proved right for him, he seems as happy as he can be. The rooms are very pleasant and 'en suite' you are kept informed if there is an issue immediately we are contacted. The food seems very good and carried and the home is very clean (we think we made the right choice for our husband and dad).

We were hesitant to "put Mum in a care home" - what with Covid and the necessary restrictions - along with the usual guilt etc. Holme Lea has amazingly caring staff; nothing is too much trouble, and they have helped to reassure us. Mum has been living there for around a year now and has settled in so well.

Overall, very happy with the care and support given to my dad. At first, when he went into the home he found it strange and for us as a family difficult to come to terms with. The staff have made him feel welcome and he settled in. The communication is good and a very happy place to visit. With the pandemic it has hit everyone very hard, I feel especially for my dad - not having that contact and interaction has had an impact on his health and well-being. I really hope we can get back to proper visits soon. The monthly Zoom meetings keep us informed. Well Done team Holme Lea.

My mum has been at Holme Lea for two years now, the service they provide is excellent and the staff are fantastic with my mum and also myself as to my mum's care. I have no worries about the standards that are in place at the home and I am fully informed of any changes or problems whether it be about the home itself or about my mum.

Excellent care for my partner. Caring and dedicated staff who are always eager to reassure my partner. The staff are always available to answer any questions. My partner has put on weight and thoroughly enjoys the food. I am very impressed with the level of care and want to thank everyone for all their hard work in keeping Covid-19 at bay.

The staff are amazing. The manager has done so much for us as a family. They have all gone the "extra mile" to make Mums respite care a fab experience. She will go back for a visit but wants some independence still. Mum has been well protected, loved and cared for as anyone would want for their loved one. Thank you to everyone; this will be Mum's first choice when the 'time comes'.

The staff at Home Lea have been amazing through the pandemic. So glad that they had a complete lockdown of the place to protect the residents. They are caring and any issues raised are dealt with. A fabulous team who work together and have been strong and caring, especially with the lockdown. Staff have been fantastic with our mum; they have reassured us and kept an eye on any changes and informed us straight away. I can't thank them enough.

Overall we are happy with Mother's care, however, we would like her to have a larger room with toilet which we were told she would get when she moved in in April 2019. She isn't happy getting up in the night and having to go out into the corridor to use the toilet.

Mum has been a resident for over 2 and a half years and during that time, has received the most compassionate care I could wish for. I am thankful to all the staff who do a brilliant job in looking after her. Nothing is too much trouble and I am very appreciative to everyone for their help, support and understanding (not just to Mum but to me as well)! The home has undergone lots of changes during the time Mum has been there - the manager and his team do a wonderful job and have made a massive difference over the last few months. It is like home from home and I’m glad Mum is part of it.

Our stepmother spent just over two years at Holme Lea, and we were very happy with the service provided. She was well looked after and felt loved and safe. On occasion, she had some complex medical needs, and the staff made a huge effort to work with the district nurses to ensure that her needs were met. They really understood her and worked with us to ensure that her care was appropriate. Our step mum was admitted to hospital, and we received the news that she would be receiving end of life care. Holme Lea worked very hard to 'bring her home', and we cannot thank them enough for their dedication and care in her final days, to all members of the family.

We would not hesitate to recommend Holme Lea, special thanks to both the manager and senior staff, who worked so hard on our behalf.
