Very friendly staff and management. Lovely outdoor space. Bedroom on the small side but overall, good facilities. The home has both quiet and busy areas to cover all needs.

We have been impressed from our visit to the home. My mother-in-law has settled and given her diagnosis of dementia, happy. The caring staff are excellent.

The care home is nicely situated next to parkland, a little short on parking spaces but manageable. Staff very pleasant and attentive, they go beyond the call of duty, helping with luggage and oxygen bottles. I would go back again if circumstances dictate. Thank you.

My experience with Holme Lea, the staff are always very pleasant and really look after my mum with the dignity and respect she deserves they try to cater to all my mums needs, unfortunately my mum was confined to bed for most of the month however, they tried to include her on some of the activities in her room now she is getting involved more and she is a lot happier in herself.

My Mother-in-law suffered from Dementia. She was in Holme Lea for nearly 6 years.
Her care was fantastic, from a wonderful staff.
Living, caring, professional and with good humour.

I admired their patience and empathy. I cannot praise them highly enough.

Friendly environment. Staff are always polite and attentive and the place is always clean and tidy. Any queries we have about gran are always answered and resolved when needed. We are always kept up to date about what is going on and are invited to join any activities taking place in the home. Overall a friendly and welcoming place for gran to be in and to visit.

Our Dad will have been in Holme Lea a year in January. The care and support me and my twin sister have had from all of the staff at Holme Lea is 100%. He was very worried about his state of mind and health before he went in after spending a short time in hospital, but we are very happy he is there and so is Dad. Keep up the good work.

Mum has shown much improvement during May and I'm sure this owes much to the devoted care she receives from the staff at Holme Lea. Occasionally staff seem under pressure due possibly to reduced numbers, but they always rise to the occasion.

My brother spent January here and was wonderfully cared for before returning to try living in his flat with a care package. The staff were truly caring and their reservations about him returning home were proved to be absolutely accurate, and he has been warmly welcomed back on a permanent basis to his, and our, great relief. His whole attitude has picked up as he feels safe, happy and well cared for, and we feel the same way too. Lovely, caring, welcoming staff led by excellent manager. Thank you Holme Lea!!

Mum's mental and physical condition have deteriorated over the last month. The care and compassion shown by management and staff monitoring this have been exemplary, especially in liaising with her GP to ensure her medication for relief of pain and anxiety is appropriate.

The only reason I have not checked "Extremely likely" to recommend is reservations as to the exact nature of the care which a potential client may need. Someone requiring physical or medical care, but with no mental deterioration, might find the preponderance of dementia sufferers in Holme Lea depressing.

My mum came to the home on respite, she wasn't happy about going but on arrival the staff were so friendly, welcoming and reassuring that she soon settled. She's settled that well she doesn't want to go home and that's down to the staff. Caring, loving, funny and always around when you need them. It's puts my mind at ease knowing my mum is happy and well looked after.

My mother is 93 years old,she went into Holme Lea over 3 years ago,she is partially sighted and almost totally deaf. She has dementia which has got progressively worse over the last few months. All the carers have good understanding of how to treat her knowing how to approach her especially on her bad days.

My mother was transferred to the home for respite care. I gave permission for this having reviewed the CQC report. Although she was only in the home for just over a month, my wife and I visited twice and were very impressed by the care given to my mum. The improvement in her well being from when she was in hospital was amazing. The staff, management and surroundings were all excellent and I would recommend this home to anyone.
