My brother has recently moved into The Sycamores. From my brother leaving his flat, the manager has been so helpful and adhering to his needs. The staff are so friendly and are treating my brother with the care and help that he needs. I feel that my brother is being given the quality of care that he needs now, thank you for all your help.

Discussion with senior staff to ensure that the needs of my mother continue to be met. Dementia has resulted in greater inability for her to express her needs. The knowledge of staff who have frequent and regular contact with her is vital, along with robust procedures that ensure she is happy and comfortable. I was happy that this could be delivered by the team. Thank you.

A warm and welcoming environment with friendly and helpful staff. Nice ambience and relaxed atmosphere. I have not experienced all aspects hence not providing a rating for some aspects. I have been given a favourable impression. An enjoyable visit to a resident who seems to be very happy.

My mum has been at the home since the beginning of January. I can say my mum has been looked after really well. She has gained weight and has settled in very quickly. She always looks good when I visit and I can tell she is nice and clean. The staff are all very pleasant and professional, they are always very helpful and have been particularly good with resolving any queries and concerns of mine. I am very happy my mum is here.

Came to see my mother, had to have a Coronavirus test first. The staff were extremely helpful in explaining the proceedings. Waited. Was escorted into the home to see my mother, and full PPE was provided. Refreshments were provided. Overall, incredibly pleasant staff, can't do enough to help. Would recommend to others.

My mum has settled in so well. The staff are so caring, I feel we chose the right place for Mum's care. Not has any issues, and Mum has never said she wanted to "go home". Mum loves the entertainment and activities when they are on, like pre-Covid- 19. Looking forward to better times ahead. Thank you all.

From our first interview with the manager through to today, I have been impressed by the professionalism, knowledge, understanding kindness and care that my cousin has received. Both her physical and mental health has improved since she moved in, and from being very worried about the change, she is now really content and at home.

Overall Experience

My nana has been in the home for over three years now. The staff have always been very kind and caring towards her and the family when visiting. They always offer family members a brew when giving one to the residents. I’ve only visited Nana a couple of times there (I struggle for personal reasons). But I love that a couple of the staff members who I know send me pictures and updates of her; it really means the world to me. My mum's uncle is also a resident here, and she says how happy and content he is, he actually thinks he’s on holiday! It’s nice to know the staff care dearly about the residents. To me, that’s all that matters that they’re getting the care and love they deserve. Thank you to all team.

We are extremely happy with the care our father is receiving at The Sycamores. He is settled, happy, safe and contented. It's a traumatic experience for anyone when you have to consider putting your father in care, but it was done with kindness and care.
