It was a total joy to visit my husband again after the Covid restrictions and lockdowns. The first visit was so well organised, as have the others since. It was obvious that he was being very well cared for and that he felt very comfortable with the staff. I know that he is safe and well cared for and am very satisfied with the care at the home.

Very friendly, and since being allowed in after the Covid test being done, very efficient. Room is lovely that we go in and offered a cup of tea. Nice, clean home. Staff always friendly.

Overall Experience
My father-in-law has lived here for about 12-years. He is 104-years-old and is mentally strong, but has severe mobility problems and is permanently catheterised. He cannot stand or walk. As such, he needs a lot of care support. He also has a complex medication regime that needs careful administration. He has been through several illnesses in his time at The Sycamores, some of which were life-threatening. He has bounced back each time, largely due to the considered and careful attention paid to him by the staff. The group's regime and the rigorous attention to detail by the staff have kept the home operating well throughout the current Covid pandemic, but of course, visits to relatives have had to be severely restricted. Whenever it was possible, video calls to my father-in-law have been arranged.

Overall, all the staff have worked impressively for the residents, and it is noticeable how much the home has improved since the group took over a few years ago. Thank you to the whole team.

Mum has only been at Sycamores for a few weeks and I have found the staff to be caring, kind and always available to answer any questions. I have visited at the window and mum's room appears to be clean and comfortable but I have not yet been inside The Sycamores so cannot comment on some issues.

My mum has stayed in Sycamores since summer 2019. She has settled very well. She spends her days in Cedar Room, the room is very calm and welcoming. My mum can be difficult, but all the staff see past this. They know my mum is fond of music and dancing and they will encourage her when music is playing. Mum has started to use a walking frame. I noticed staff helping her to stand, Mum was very affectionate with them kissing them, this was nice as it shows Mum is happy. I do like this place and the staff.

My Mum came to stay for respite whilst my Dad was recovering from a heart attack. We are so pleased she came here. What a lovely place and the carers and staff were lovely, very friendly and made my Mum so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. If it came she had to go I care permanently, Sycamores, without a doubt, would be our first choice. Many thanks.

We are generally satisfied with the care and attention that is given to dad. We certainly are very appreciative of all the staff. Just a slight concern over the number of managers there've been over the 11 years my father has been a resident.

I feel very safe and the quality of care is excellent. Food is very good and activities are always available, though I have not always got the energy or interest.

Room cleaning/dusting could be more thorough, but steam cleaning is very good.

My nanna seems very happy and settled at The Sycamores. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Whenever we have had any questions we are always able to aks and are listened to.
I am unable to comment about the food and drink as I have not visited at meal times but my nanna seems to enjoy the food.

I am also unsure of the activities as I have never seen anything take place other than singing.

Absolutely 100% better all round at The Sycamores. The previous care home didn't have a clue.
I am far happier now Mum is at The Sycamores, they appear exceptionally hospitable with myself and Mum.

Mum can be hard work, the previous home didn't give a damn. I feel she is much safer now.
