My mother has been in Garswood House now for 8 months and has settled in really well. She requires full care and is unable to walk around by herself. We have seen a marked improvement in her mental and physical well-being since she has been here and all the carers and staff are very friendly and helpful.
My family and I would recommend Garswood House for anyone who needs peace of mind for their loved ones.

My mum has been a resident in Garswood House for years. The care she gets is excellent. If I have any concerns there is always someone to talk to and sort out. These past few years with covid-19 restrictions have been hard. But the home's Facebook page has been a great convert. A good care home, well

We have nothing but praise for the staff at Garswood House. The last 12 months have been very difficult for everyone but the manager and all the team have always gone the extra mile to ensure we kept in contact with our mum using window visits, WhatsApp etc. when we couldn't visit. Nothing has been
too much trouble and we can't thank you all enough for the wonderful care and attention you give to mum. Thank you all - you are amazing.

After making the heart-breaking decision that Nan needed to be in a care home, we were lucky enough to get a place for her at Garswood House. She was given a lovely modern room and settled in really quickly; mainly due to the fact that all the staff were absolutely amazing. They could not do enough
for Nan and for us, as a family. The past 18 months during Covid-19 lockdown has been so difficult and not being able to see Nan has been just awful but the genuine care, compassion, and respect given to residents has reassured us that we have done the very best we could for Nan and she is in the best possible place given the circumstances. Residents are stimulated and there is a fun and lively atmosphere about the place, but also quiet areas for those that want the peace and quiet. Staff are absolutely amazing from the top level down and can't thank all concerned enough for taking such wonderful care of my Nan.

As mum has been in Garswood House over the pandemic and lockdown periods we can’t emphasise enough how very grateful we are the for the care shown by all the staff. It has been an extremely difficult period and as a family, we feel the love and attention shown to mum has kept all our spirits up. The
whole team has worked tirelessly to keep everyone safe and happy under immense pressure. We have been kept fully informed throughout mum's stay. We have witnessed ourselves via the Facebook page the effort and daily activities carried out to keep the residents happy and alert. During lockdown, we have been able to message mum whenever we needed, giving mum a chance to see us and for us to see and chat to her. Thanks again to you all for all the love and care from bottom of our hearts.

My mum was admitted to the care home in January for respite care but because of the coronavirus has had to stay in for longer. The staff have been absolutely brilliant they are all hard-working, caring, helpful, considerate and friendly. My mum always says she has a bit of a laugh and a chat with the
staff. I have been very grateful and thankful for them looking after mum.

Visited the home this afternoon, couldn't go inside for obvious reasons.
We want to say a huge thank you to the two young carers who helped mum get set up on skype so that the family can talk to her.

My Nan was recently admitted to Garswood House for respite care. After a few short days sadly her condition deteriorated and she passed away. I have to say the care that Nan received was outstanding. She was treated with such respect and dignity. The staff were also kindness itself to all of Nan's family
and it was appreciated and it made such a difference to us all. I can only say a heartfelt thank you to Garswood House and it's amazing team of staff.

May I offer my sincere gratitude and appreciation for your excellent services and care at Garswood House regards Dad.
It has been a relief and delight to witness Dad settling in during the first week, an incredibly welcoming and friendly environment.
Dad is engaging in conversation and chit/chat with
other happy residents, conversing at mealtimes and in the afternoon in your relaxing lounge areas.
Your tremendous staff, who have all been extremely courteous, polite, friendly and professional in this initial settling in period, please pass on our heartfelt respect as you all deserve the highest level of recognition for the amazing services you provide.
We truly feel blessed and fortunate, Dad has been offered a placement with your good self and team at Garswood House, to what is now Dad’s new lovely home, for Dad to enjoy and embrace his new lifestyle. Dad could not have requested a more suitable care home than Garswood House.

Garswood House is an extremely warm and friendly place my for mum to live in and all the staff are wonderful from the manager and all the caring staff who make all the residents at home and safe. When my mum chose to leave her home after numerous years, as her daughter, I had reservations of how my
mum would accept the change into a care home but surprisingly, during every visit from family and friends she tells them all that she loves being at Garswood House and does not regret leaving her previous home at all. I am amazed that she settled so soon I thought it would take a few months but its all down to the set up of the home and the caring staff who make all the residents special. The home is spotlessly clean and all on one level with plenty of spacious room both inside and outside plus there are activities on for the residents to join in and all my mum's needs are catered for, from daily papers and weekly hairdresser to a great choice of daily meals available. It's great my mum has settled in.

Mum was admitted into Garswood House initially for a weeks respite to allow the family to go on holiday. 5 days into her stay we were advised to return home as she quickly deteriorated. After 11 days she sadly passed away. The impression the staff made on us all will stay with us for a very long time.
They cared for mum with dignity, respect and showed genuine love and compassion as they performed their daily tasks. Nothing was too much trouble for family and friends alike, with regular visits offering tea, coffee and biscuits, even a bed for those who stayed overnight. At a time when many care homes make the news for all the wrong reasons, Garswood House is a shining example of how it should be done. And our family will be forever grateful.

Mum went into Garswood House initially for one weeks respite, whilst the family went on holiday. During her stay, she became very unwell. This resulted in her dying after only being in their care just over a week. The staff, care home manager and health professionals who cared for Mum treated her and
the wider family with the utmost respect, and we cannot thank them all enough.

It's difficult to put into words how this care home dealt with my mum. The whole staff, from management down, was so friendly, helpful and treated Mum with dignity. It was a wonderful experience for all our family and the staff made sure we had everything we needed.
They made a very difficult situation
easier to bear with the kindness they showed. I just want to say a big thank you to all. Mum passed away today, 13th August 2019 and all staff were so helpful.

Whilst we thought we were putting grandma in respite care at Garswood Home, gradually she took a turn for the worse and we sadly lost her. We can’t thank you enough for all your love, care and support for grandma and us a family, nothing was any bother to you all. Amazing staff.

Living nearby, I had always driven past on a daily basis and imagined life inside Garswood House would be dull, dark and depressing. How wrong could I have been!
My beloved Grandma was cared for with genuine love, concern and commitment over the course of her 9-day stay.
The staff have beautiful relationships
with each other, the residents and with us as a family in a state of disbelief. We were accommodated from the moment we entered the building and even beyond Grandma's stay. What a safe haven with special staff who will now always have a bond with our family.
