Garswood House is an attractive home one mile from the town of Ashton-in-Makerfield. Its dedicated and trained staff team work hard to make residents feel welcome, and there is a good social atmosphere, with residents enjoying access to a number of comfortable lounges and a secure garden area.

The home includes a specialist household, which has been adapted to meet the needs of people with dementia. Its open plan layout aids orientation and independence and residents are supported to maintain skills and interests.

Whilst we thought we were putting grandma in respite care at Garswood Home, gradually she took a turn for the worse and we sadly lost her. We can’t thank you enough for all your love, care and support for grandma and us a family, nothing was any bother to you all. Amazing staff.

I cannot praise this place enough! The care and compassion the staff showed towards my grandma and the family throughout her stay was 5*
Nothing we asked was too much trouble, it was clear to see that the staff have genuine passion and love for their job. As a family, we can’t thank them enough for

Living nearby, I had always driven past on a daily basis and imagined life inside Garswood House would be dull, dark and depressing. How wrong could I have been!
My beloved Grandma was cared for with genuine love, concern and commitment over the course of her 9-day stay.
The staff have beautiful relationships
with each other, the residents and with us as a family in a state of disbelief. We were accommodated from the moment we entered the building and even beyond Grandma's stay. What a safe haven with special staff who will now always have a bond with our family.

Cannot thank the staff enough the love and care my dad has been receiving is out of this world! My dad has come on health wise and happiness each and every day, he’s so settled not upset away from mum.
