Overall Experience

My sister in law lived at Hampton Court. She was so involved with all activities when she first arrived. We was so happy that she had a new lease of life. She had new friends (more than what she did at home). We did not feel bad at all as we knew she was in safe hands of the fantastic care team they had. One of the days the cleaner even helped my sister in law to the toilet. It truly is a home from home experience. Unfortunately, my sister in law had a natural decline in her health and passed away. However, the care staff nursed her in bed until her very last moments. She was treated with the best dignity and respect that I have ever witnessed. One day I came to the home and when I walked in the room a member of staff was holding her hand and was singing to her. I would highly recommend this home for all those unpaid carers out there who are struggling out there. Thank you Hampton Court, not all superheroes wear capes, they wear a uniform!

I spoke to the manager about 2 months before my Mother-in-law went in to Hampton Court for a 10 day stay. I felt completely reassured and confident after speaking to her that my Mother-in-law who suffers with Dementia would be treated with the utmost dignity and respect, and I can honestly say she was.
All the staff have my total respect for the wonderful way in which they dedicate their time and show such care to all the residents. They really are angels in disguise and couldn’t do enough for all the residents staying there.
The manager showed me around everywhere and answered all my questions and concerns. The transition from day one was very easy and by the end of my Mother-in-laws stay, the staff didn’t want her to leave and they had fallen in love with her.
Thank you Hampton Court. You exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend this care home to anyone.

Kind regards.

The carers at Hampton Court go over and above what they are meant do in their everyday duties. There is teamwork - making the place run as smoothly as possible. As family we are kept informed about our mum.

On the whole good but I found that my age and mental capacity was much better than most of the other residents and made me somewhat isolated. Activities were sparse, I was told this was because of Covid. Generally, I found rooms etc to be pleasant and conditions good. My markings below I find awkward because I don't think anything can be excellent unless it is perfect, things rarely are. The staff were friendly.

My nan went in to Hampton Court for respite. The staff were amazing. They made my nan look like one million dollars and gave her the time and attention she would not let us give her. We very quickly realised that my nan could not come home and we can think of no better place for her to be. There is an activity lady on everyday and this is great. Really we can not thank you enough for looking after my nan.

I had visited my friend who lives in the care home for more than 5 years now. From what I have seen over the years my friend is well looked after from the staff and there is activities on a daily basis, evident in the conservatory area with art work etc. One resident was having her nails and hair done while I was there.
The staff are very professional and seem to know all the resident's needs.
The home is not so clinical like you see in modern care home facilities, but like a home from home feel.

I had been invited to join for dinner, which I thought was a lovely thought and the food tasted like home cooked meals with choices.

My mum is safe and reasonably well cared for at Hampton Court. Many of the staff are caring and kind, however, staff turnover can be quite high.
The home although generally quite clean is shabby and uninspiring, bedrooms have not been decorated in at least 6 years (well mum's anyway)
Activities are limited and basic, my mum would not participate anyway, but other more able residents would benefit from better.

The manager is not very visible and is keen on pointless notices (A4 photocopies) around the home.
