Dear Sonia & All the Team,
We want to say a heartfelt thank you for the wonderful care you gave our lovely Mum.
At first, we were hesitant about Mum moving into a home, but we needn't have worried-she settled in straight away thanks to the warmth and kindness of the Grovewood team. She became more active, and even more adventurous with her food, which was so lovely to see.
What began as just a short period of respite turned into something far more difficult when Mum became ill. The end-of-life care you provided was beyond anything we could have hoped for.
You didn't just look after Mum-you cared for us and all of her visitors too. We know it was busy with so many people coming and going to say their goodbyes, but throughout it all you showed such patience and compassion.
We will be forever grateful to you all.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

My dad has lived at Grovewood since 2022 and is cared for excellently by all the staff. The staff always contact me if any concerns arise or Dad needs something. They always go above and beyond at Grovewood and I would highly recommend Grovewood to anyone. The manager is always available if I need to discuss anything with her and she ensures that all my dad's needs are met. Thank you Grovewood. Keep doing what you all do as you are all fantastic!

Mum came to Grovewood in May 2024 and was very anxious, the staff reassured Mum and they go above and beyond to ensure she is safe and cared for. Grovewood is a lovely caring home and management are always approachable as well as the staff. Nothing is too much and it has put my mind at rest knowing Mum is well cared for and her needs are being met. I would recommend Grovewood to anyone. Well done all at Grovewood.

Because of his current physical disability, my son is unable to continue to live in his flat and is in need of care. Although he is much younger than the remainder of the residents, I have been relieved that he is receiving the care he needs, has a private room and has caring and good-humoured attention. His regular visits to hospital for treatment are properly organised as is his medication. Given his current medical condition, the respite care he is receiving is very much appreciated.

Being anxious about our 53-year-old son receiving respite care in a home full of elderly residents we were reassured and relieved to find the staff welcoming, cheerful and caring, treating him with respect, dignity and good humour. He is free to get up, go to bed and have his meals when he wants. We have built up a good friendly relationship with all the carers on our visits.

Entrusting the care of a loved one to a residential care home can be a challenging decision. However, from our first encounter with the staff at this remarkable care home, we knew our grandmother was in capable, compassionate hands. I am delighted to share my overwhelmingly positive experience and commend the incredible staff and care provided during my grandmother's respite stay.
Upon our arrival, we were struck by the warmth and friendliness that radiated throughout the care home. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles, making us feel welcome and immediately at ease. Their professionalism and expertise in caring for the elderly were apparent and their dedication to providing the utmost quality of care was truly inspiring.

The residential care home itself was a picture of comfort and serenity. Impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, the inviting atmosphere was enhanced by thoughtful touches, such as cosy common areas, tranquil gardens and calming colours throughout.

The care staff are lovely and so caring towards our nan/mum. They really do go above and beyond to ensure she is happy. Wouldn’t have wanted her to be anywhere else as she is safe here and content. She is cared for and always looked out for here and the staff think so highly of my nan.

My Mum first stayed at Grovewood for respite following an illness. Unfortunately, on her return home, she was unable to manage and we turned to Grovewood once again. She has been a resident for 9 months now and is very happy, despite the Covid restrictions. The care is exemplary; the home is spotlessly clean and the care staff are genuinely caring. Some even moved in at the peak of Covid-19 in order to protect residents. Mum is very independent, and the care team are keen to help her retain this aspect of her life, however, they do their best to intervene when she starts to navigate stairs on her own or decides to rearrange her bedroom furniture. Mum can be a fussy eater, yet the staff are always happy to provide an alternative that she is happy with. She’s had the occasional fall and the home have contacted me within an hour to let me know and that everything is okay. I am routinely contacted by Grovewood when there are medical concerns. It’s a great care home and team.
