Overall Experience
Staff at Grovewood are unparalleled. They are helpful and willing to help with any task, medical and caring. They go the extra mile without asking. Meals are served frequently and residents have several choices. A doctor calls once a week but medical staff are available to assist with calling a doctor or ambulance if required at any time.

Both male and female staff are caring and on call.

Sonia Aldridge Manager of Grovewood. I have worked in the care sector for over 13 years starting as a housekeeper and shortly afterward going into a care role as a health care assistant. I then did my NVQ level 3 and was promoted to a senior role. I wanted to gain more experience and then I did my level 5 Diploma in leadership for health and social care in 2017. I joined the Grovewood team in October 2020 and was a night manager until I was then promoted to the manager's role.

Kerry Macdougall
Kerry MacdougallJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2022

Kerry is the new Deputy Manager at Grovewood. She believes that to be good in her role, one should be of polite disposition with a caring and supportive nature. Good communication and listening skills are important as well as time management and the ability to work under pressure. To be proactive and at times multi-task. Always smile.

The best part of her day is when a resident stops for a chat. She has great respect for the elderly and she loves to hear about their life experiences.
