Visits are encouraged to take place during quieter periods so residents can enjoy personal time with loved ones in a calm and supportive setting. Visitors may be asked to follow any health or safety guidelines in place for residents’ wellbeing. Staff remain available to help residents prepare for visits and to offer support during and after, ensuring every visit is safe, comfortable and meaningful.
Visitor parking is provided on the grounds, with marked spaces situated near the main entrance for ease of access. As availability varies throughout the day, guests may need to allow extra time to find a suitable space. On-street parking can usually be found in the surrounding area when the car park is busy. Visitors are asked to park responsibly, ensuring access points, driveways and pathways remain clear for residents, staff and emergency services.

Sonia Aldridge Manager of Grovewood. I have worked in the care sector for over 13 years starting as a housekeeper and shortly afterward going into a care role as a health care assistant. I then did my NVQ level 3 and was promoted to a senior role. I wanted to gain more experience and then I did my level 5 Diploma in leadership for health and social care in 2017. I joined the Grovewood team in October 2020 and was a night manager until I was then promoted to the manager's role.
Kerry is the new Deputy Manager at Grovewood. She believes that to be good in her role, one should be of polite disposition with a caring and supportive nature. Good communication and listening skills are important as well as time management and the ability to work under pressure. To be proactive and at times multi-task. Always smile.
The best part of her day is when a resident stops for a chat. She has great respect for the elderly and she loves to hear about their life experiences.
