Heyberry House enjoys a pleasant location, surrounded by Birkenhead Park. The home provides residential and dementia care for up to 41 customers in homely and comfortable single ensuite rooms and continues to welcome new residents.

The staff are dedicated to working closely with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans for each individual, ensuring their needs are constantly met. Dementia care is available at Heyberry House, where staff are given on-going training to ensure their approach always reflects best practice.

The home has an extensive activities programme which is designed to encompass the interests of all residents.

Heyberry House is operated by Anchor. They strive to raise standards and expectations by reinvesting money made back into its retirement properties and care homes.

After 7 months of my husband being a resident in Heyberry House. I am happy generally with the care he is receiving by the staff. I am particularly pleased with the kind of professional help my husband has received due to his stoma.


A constructive suggestion would maybe to provide families initially

with relevant info regarding putting a loved one into a care home. Including money matters, electoral roll or helpful telephone numbers.

My father came to Heyberry House in August 2016 as he was no longer able to stay in his own home.


The staff have all been very caring, helpful and cheerful under the circumstances. It can't be easy to cater for the needs of elderly people but they all manage very well.


The family feel very lucky

that we found such a lovely home for our father.

Mum has been in Heyberry House for about 4 years. She or the family have no complaints, only praise for all the staff and also the manager. He has got a lot of useful aids and a chair to help Mum.

My dad stayed here for a fortnight's respite while we were away on holiday, he enjoyed every minute of it. The people who work here do an excellent job and made dad's stay a very enjoyable one. I would highly recommend Heyberry House and would not hesitate to bring Dad here again.

Visited on the day of the open day of the garden. Staff very helpful wonderful singers who got everybody to join in. Mys elf and my mum really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.

Heyberry House is a lovely friendly home so much going on. I really enjoy visiting all the staff, office, cleaners and carers all are wonderful. 100/100

Unfortunately my fathers stay was short due to death. Nevertheless, the staff managed what proved to be a difficult period. From the moment my sister and I viewed Heyberry we knew it was the home we wanted our father to be in.
The calm and respectful manner in which the staff interacted with the residents
gave us every confidence he would be well cared for. We were always warmly greeted and updated in our fathers progress. The care manager exceeded our expectations in providing feedback and support during an emotional and difficult time for the family and always had the best interest of our father at heart.
