From the first visit to Luren Court Care Home I was very impressed on all levels from the manager, carers and the overall look and attitude of the staff, also the cleanliness always smells fresh, unlike some homes I have visited. My sister settled in very quickly and is happy.

My brother really felt that Lauren Court was 'home'. Initially, he only went for respite care while I went on holiday but he enjoyed it and decided he wanted to stay. The staff were very kind, friendly and have a good sense of humour. They were also very patient, this and their sense of humour was needed in his latter days as he sadly became very anxious and demanding.

This is the second time my wife has stayed at Lauren Court for respite care. The staff are most friendly and courteous, most considerate and helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them. I would thoroughly recommend Lauren Court to friends and/or family at any time. Having my wife in respite care is most beneficial to both of us - congratulations to all staff and management for their care.

I have found Lauren Court to be a very warm and pleasant environment for my mother. The staff are caring and helpful at all times. The place is always clean and tidy with a nice atmosphere. My mother praises the plentiful meals with a variety of choice. She feels safe as the staff check them often, throughout the day and during the night. The residents are treated with respect, so much so, she only went in for respite but is still there.

I'm a youth worker with NCS and brought a group of teenagers who wanted to volunteer at the home to spend time with the residents and put on activities for them. The staff and the residents have all been incredible. Staff are so welcoming and informative, we really appreciated their hospitality and willingness to let us be involved. After a few hours spending time talking with some of the residents, our team had laughed, cried and danced, they enjoyed engaging with them and their stories. The team is now planning to return to so a tea and cake party the following week.

Also, the time spent with the lovely residents was very insightful and extremely enjoyable. We hope not only for us, but for them as well.

Mum has now been at Lauren Court since Aug 2016. She initially went in for 2 weeks respite, much against her will, after a spell in hospital. After 2 weeks mum was reluctant to go home as she had been so well cared for and after another 2 weeks decided she would like to stay permanently. I can't speak highly enough of the kind and caring staff at Lauren Court and they always go the extra mile to make sure mum is happy. She is treated with kindness, courtesy and respect. The food is high standard with a choice of 2 dishes each day on a monthly rotation. The rooms are very pleasant and the home has a spacious modern dining room, 3 beautifully appointed lounge areas with TVs and a sunny conservatory overlooking a lovely garden area. The reception area is very smart and welcoming.

Yes, it's expensive, but not as much as some I saw and rejected. Currently £738+ a week it's not as indicated in the info. High annual increases are a constant worry but mum's safety and well being are priceless.

My Mother spent two weeks Respite care in Lauren Court and I would highly recommend this care home.

I visited a number of care homes when I was making my selection and my first impression of the staff and environment were very good.

The building is very light, especially the conservatory area and I believe this can help lift the mood of residents. Some of the other establishments I visited were very dark and depressing.

My Mother was subsequently admitted and the care she received was exceptional. She also very much enjoyed the meals!

The exercise she was getting, walking from her room to the dining room and then to the lounge was a real benefit. She is prone to falling but with the use of her stick and hand rails along all corridors gave her more confidence.

I would have no hesitation is recommending Lauren Court to anyone who was looking at care for a relative or friend.

My mother-in-law has lived in Lauren Court for over 4 years and is very happy. She thinks of her beautiful room which is on the ground floor and looks out onto a busy road and playing field, as her own little flat. The care and staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent with lots of choices to suit every resident. The staff are very professional in their care but also go that extra mile. The manager is very experienced and has the home running really well. She is also very kind and understanding to the needs of all the residents.

Pleasantly laid out open plan building with small attractive garden. Ensuites are small but adequate. All the staff are friendly and have a nice sense of humour creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors. Sometimes short staffed. Too much to do but manage to keep cheerful and helpful. They are a huge asset to this home. This year's increase in fees on top of last years seem to be on the high side and somewhat worrying.
