Yes, it's expensive, but not as much as some I saw and rejected. Currently £738+ a week it's not as indicated in the info. High annual increases are a constant worry but mum's safety and well being are priceless.
I visited a number of care homes when I was making my selection and my first impression of the staff and environment were very good.
The building is very light, especially the conservatory area
My Mother was subsequently admitted and the care she received was exceptional. She also very much enjoyed the meals!
The exercise she was getting, walking from her room to the dining room and then to the lounge was a real benefit. She is prone to falling but with the use of her stick and hand rails along all corridors gave her more confidence.
I would have no hesitation is recommending Lauren Court to anyone who was looking at care for a relative or friend.
We are most pleased that you feel that the home is pleasantly laid out, the staff team take pride in the home that they work in. It was nice to hear that you felt the staff team are friendly and have a nice sense of humour creating a welcoming atmosphere for our Residents and visitors. You feel that the home is sometimes short staffed. At HC-One we continually review our staffing levels according to the Residents dependency levels. If you are concerned please feel free to discuss this with the home manager. We acknowledge your comment around the increase in fees and again I would suggest that you discuss this with the home manager.
