I am utterly delighted with the are and support mum is receiving here at Lauren Court Residential Care Home. Each time I visit she does nothing but praise the team and say how easy going but helpful everyone is. Mum has now been here six months and the change in her is remarkable. She looks really well and has put on some weight which is wonderful. I have no hesitation recommending Lauren Court to others. Long may it continue.

I came as a permanent resident in December 2016.

I have found Lauren Court a lovely, clean care home. The staff are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I find the staff very friendly and chatty. There is always someone to chat to. I am very happy here.

Each time I visit my mother it is a pleasure to go into this home. The staff are all always very helpful at all times. They quickly and efficiently sort out any problems. Mum needs eye drops 4 times a day and I know I can leave the home and know she will be looked after excellently. All the staff are very caring and have time for everyone.

Mum moved to Lauren Court initially for a fortnight's respite in January but after a short period in her own home we all realised that Mum could no longer cope and that Lauren Court was the best place she could be in. Mum is 96, has severe arthritis, Parkinson's Disease and many other medical complaints. The move into Care can be traumatic for all concerned but all the staff at Lauren Court made the process very easy for the whole family. The manager and her team are very professional and I felt that Mum was in excellent hands. The staff are all welcoming, always smiling and cheerful and very very patient with mum. They are all very conscientious and caring. I can't praise them enough.

There have been a couple of minor problems since mum moved to Lauren Court but the manager and her staff have sorted these out in a few minutes. I feel that nothing is too much trouble for them. I completely recommend Lauren Court to anyone who is looking for an excellent care home.

My mother required a care home and I had nothing but praise for Lauren Court. Following which I went to visit before deciding to try and place my mother here. I was delighted with the whole "package" and therefore chose Lauren Court without hesitation! From what I have witnessed over the past two months Lauren Court is outstanding! Excellent care from considerate staff, the meals look excellent, all areas I have visited are always very clean! I do feel it is very expensive but then I guess all care comes at a cost! I would be more than happy to spend twilight years here if required. Highly recommended care home.

The staff are extremely caring which in my view is the most important factor when choosing a care home, treating my mother with high levels of dignity and respect. Impressive facilities, well maintained and recently modernised further. Well appointed bedrooms with en-suite facility. Well run and managed. I haven't had any issue to raise with management in the 4 years that my mother has been a resident.

Concerned over turnover of staff. Mums care plan not discussed with me and nor reviewed with family. Named carer not introduced to us. We were not always informed when mum was visited by GP or district nurse. When I took mum for outside appointments at hospital etc. she often was not ready and we had to find shoes/coat/dentures/glasses. On one occasion follow up appointment at hospital mums legs were dirty and I had to ask for her finger nails to be cut- long and dirty, same with toe nails.

Staff turnover has been reviewed and there are 2 new domestics to replace the staff who have retired. There are also 2 new care staff who are covering for staff who are on maternity leave.

The staff are very kind and go the extra mile to make residents feel "at home!" In spite of busy work loads I have known staff sit with my mum during their break in her room whilst she has eaten her lunch. My mum is tucked up at night. The residents home is modern and cheerfully decorated. Dining room over looking a pleasant garden. Public areas always smell fresh. I think the menus are good (not the chips) with emphasis on fresh vegetables. Meals attractively plated up. Surprisingly good sauces which I would expect to get at a restaurant. Medical attention sought quickly when necessary.
