The admission process was efficient and uncomplicated. Management took time to find out the resident's needs. Staff were caring and friendly towards both resident and family - Thank you! Night-time staff seemed to be particularly caring. The home was kept clean - especially the toilets. Food was good but over-reliance on soup/sandwiches. Entertainment staff try hard with difficult residents, but activities sometimes publicised, the cancelled for trivial reasons (eg bingo sessions/jigsaw sessions)

Overall experience was positve under trying family circumstances. Thank you.

Both my grandparents have been at Bank hall until unfortunately they passed away. I have always found the staff so caring and helpful. i really don't know how they do the job they do they all deserve medals. Both of them passed away in the home and whilst on end of life care they could not do enough enough for me, cups of teas, food anything i needed they were there. A special thanks to Natalie, Lizzie, Mizpah and Asim

My dad has just had a week in respite at Bank Hall. As a family it was a very worrying time for us as we felt like we were abandoning him. Leah and the staff team totally put our minds at rest and couldn't do enough for my dad. Leah sent me updates via email which was a great comfort. My dad had an amazing time and made some new friends and my mum has recharged her batteries. We will definitely be revisiting in the near future.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts x

My father and my mother-in-law are both in Bank Hall Care Home.
I have felt for a while i needed to write a review that would reflect the amazing care and dedicated staff that work there.
Nothing is to much trouble and if the staff can help with anything then they most certainly will.
I have had meals with my family and they were always good quality, music playing and a lovely atmosphere.
Thank you for all you do for both my dad and mum in law.
I know they are being cared for in one of the best homes I have been in (I searched alot of homes to find the right place)

Thank you so much.

Dad was admitted into this amazing care home about three months ago. He was very poorly for the three months previous to this, in and out of hospital. He has found a new lease of life with the staff here and 24-hour care!
I, together with my husband and grown-up children, visited my dad over last weekend.
On Sunday, the Pimms and strawberry afternoon was amazing and enjoyed by everyone!
This was certainly a magical memory for me.
Thank you activities coordinator for making us feel so welcome and putting smiles on to everyones face.

Good luck to the manager on your return - Bank Hall Care Home is a credit to you all! Thank you.

My very good friend came to live at Bank Hall Care Home in February 2024, I did have a very unflattering view of care homes, people sat in circles in, a smelly environment. Bank Hall could not have been more different. always clean and being cleaned, my friend's room was lovely and spacious. Being a lady who loved clothes, a larger wardrobe was brought to her room to accommodate all her clothes. There are activities, such as the baby and toddler group, my friend loved babies all her life, bingo, crafts, films, a gardening club, concerts and trips out. The dining room looks more like a country pub with a very varied menu made by their chef. Relatives and friends can visit anytime and are encouraged to be involved with Bank Hall. The staff were kind and willing to answer any concerns raised. I cannot speak highly enough of my friend's care.

Mum came to Bank Hall nearly 3 years ago after 4 months in hospital with a broken hip. She had lost a lot of weight and was struggling to learn to walk again. Since arriving at Bank Hall she has learnt to walk with her frame again, put her weight back on and built her strength up. All the staff have been loving and caring and contributed to Mum's happy well-being. Mum is happy with her cosy room, the food is lovely and she loves joining in the activities. Thank you to everyone at Bank Hall for looking after Mum so well.

Mum has been very tired this week, only waking briefly when sleeping again. The staff have been very attentive with her, also giving me reassurance that there was nothing to worry about. The staff do an excellent job, will always go the extra mile even when short-staffed. Mum was very uncomfortable one day during my visit, the carers took her to the bathroom, changed her paf and all her clothes, then showered her. She returned happy, fresh and ready for food. The temporary manager has converted the area near reception into a coffee bar - great idea for residents and visitors. Looks lovely and very welcoming.

Bank Hall Care Home is a really good care home provider. My dad has been there for over eighteen months and had multiple health and social issues. The staff have gone above and beyond to support his needs during that time. Luckily, he has now improved in all areas and doing well. The staff are friendly, engaging with the residents.

The food is of good quality and plenty of it. The home itself is clean and tidy in presentation and well-decorated. I can honestly say I rest easy knowing my dad is at Bank Hall.

The review is not for a specific time but on the whole, there is never any regular communication from anyone as to how loved ones are managing in the home, be it either positive or negative.
Also when activities are planned, when are they being held? as some relatives might like to join their loved ones for a sing-song or afternoon tea. If there is a special birthday, is this marked in any way? If it is, would it not be respectful to let their relatives know about it, giving them the option as to whether they could attend and mark the occasion together?

These are just a few things which could add up to a more positive experience for relatives whose loved ones are in a care home.
