We visited eight homes before deciding on this. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We were happy with everything, and my husband enjoyed his stay. That meant I had a break with a happy feeling. I would recommend this home to everyone and anyone. Residents are treated like a five-star hotel. Full marks to management and staff. Thank you very much. You are simply the best.
Thank you so much; your words of encouragement make all the difference and help us to go the extra mile. Many thanks.
The entire staff at Coote Lane Care Home were fantastic with Mum throughout her 10-month stay, especially her end-of-life care where staff went above and beyond to make her comfortable. The love shown to me by everyone there since Mum passed has been second to none too. I have made a lot of new friends at the home and I intend to still visit on a regular basis.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your heartfelt thoughts about your experience with Coote Lane Care Home. It was truly our privilege to care for your mum during her stay with us and we are deeply moved by your kind words. Our staff strive to provide compassionate and personalized...
I was very apprehensive about my grandma moving into a care home, from the very first day we settled her in it felt like 'home'. The staff are all lovely, they always go out of their way for you and make you feel welcome. The outdoor area is fantastic, especially getting to feed the sheep! Grandma has gone from strength to strength. She's happy and we get quality time with her now which we struggled to get before due to us doing the caring side. Thank you so much to all the staff at Coote Lane Residential Home. I would 100% recommend this home.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, we will pass on your kind feedback to the team.
My mother has been a resident at Coote Lane for over 3 years and has received the most wonderful care. The staff always adapted quickly to her deteriorating dementia, treating her with kindness and dignity. The home is always spotlessly clean, homely and welcoming. Every single member of staff has a smile on their face and is always happy and always eager to help or just have a chat. There is a real family feel at Coote Lane. Sadly Mum had to leave recently purely because her needs changed and so needs a higher level of care but I would not hesitate in recommending Coote Lane. I just wish Mum could have stayed.
Thank you very much for your lovely feedback, we will pass on your kind words to our team. We are delighted to hear about your experience and the kind and genuine care that your mother received, this is very much at the heart of our ethos and we work hard to ensure a welcoming 'home from home' feel...
I called in to see the residents and staff and as usual, I was made so welcome. The home was decorated for the King's coronation and it was lovely chatting with Mum's friends and carers.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, we will pass on your kind feedback to the team.
The only thing that disappoints me is the fact that the CQC rated Coote Lane with a ‘requires improvement’ just as the new management team had started in June 2021. In fairness, this needs updating to truly reflect the incredible work being done. It may mislead potential customers which is unfair. It was recommended to us otherwise we would have been reluctant to view it based on the CQC report. I’m so glad we were introduced to Coote Lane.
Thank you very much for your lovely review and feedback on the amazing work our management and care team have made in Coote Lane since June 2021. We recently had our Local Authority annual quality inspection, and we were delighted at how many families came along to share the positive feedback of...
It’s lovely arriving in Coote Lane Residential Home, the home is warm and inviting, the staff are friendly and accommodating. It’s evident how much the staff care about the residents which is extremely comforting. Even when our granny is being asked what she’d like for tea, the staff interact with her in such a gentle and genuine way. We love seeing pictures of our granny on the wall enjoying activities and crafts - we’re so happy knowing she has access to such consistent, kind care. Thank you so much for looking after her.
Thank you very much for your lovely feedback, we will pass on your kind words and 5-star rating to our team. We are delighted to hear about your experience and the kind and genuine care that your granny receives, this is very much at the heart of our ethos and we work hard to ensure a welcoming...

Staff are always helpful and friendly and look after residents very well. We are made welcome and encouraged to visit whenever we want - not the case in Dad's previous care home. Can't fault the way Dad is cared for and would recommend this home.

My experince of my mother being in the care home is very positive. The manager and staff are extremely positive and upbeat. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum's bedroom is very nice and always kept tidy. It is kept to a very high standard, and we are very pleased. I am concerned about the price of the care. This is my only issue.

The care Mum has received has been excellent. It felt like her home and we (her daughters) were made to feel welcome and part of the Coote Lane Residential Home family. The improvement in the home over the last eighteen months has been tremendous - long may it continue to improve and care for vulnerable people.

The care given to Dad was excellent, especially in his final days. Not only was he looked after, the whole family were also looked after. They felt like family. I would highly recommend the care home to anyone.

Mum fell at home in 2021, an accident that started her transition through awful hospital experiences and the care system. My sister and I moved Mum from a failing care home to Coote Lane Residential Home in January 2022. We knew we needed to relocate her quickly but making the decision about an alternative home wasn't easy. We quickly realised to our relief that the manager at Coote Lane was the sort of caring, empathetic, open, honest, professional person in whom we could place our trust to give Mum the best life experiences possible in the circumstances. The manager heads a quality management and supervisory team who motivate the staff they lead to give the best of themselves to the residents. Genuine kindness and empathy and emotional intelligence with good communication skills are surely all key basic requirements for anyone tasked with looking after our elderly loved ones and I have met many members of staff at Coote Lane who possess these qualities. Keep striving!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback on your experience at Coote Lane Residential Home. We are incredibly proud of the service our team is able to offer at Coote Lane and are so grateful we were able to support you and your family during such a difficult transition. We thank you...
The care my aunt received at Coote Lane Residential Home was exceptional. The staff treat them as if they are their own family member. Also, the welcome they give to the visiting relatives is lovely. Nothing is too much trouble, from offering a cup of tea to them answering any questions or concerns you may have. My aunt loved living there.
Thank you for taking the time to leave our team at Coote Lane such a lovely review. We are always proud of the service our team is able to provide however, it means the world to see the positive impact it has not only on our service users but also their loved ones. We are so glad your aunt was...
I can not fault the care that has been given to my grandad. The staff bend over backwards to meet his needs. The staff also make the family members really welcome. I know the job is challenging however the staff remain very professional. My other grandad was also a resident and his care was fantastic that's why we chose this home again.

Meet the Team (1)

I have been working in the Health & Social Care sector for 26 years; I started my journey when my daughter was three months old. I started working as a care assistant for 2 years. Following on from this role, I then progressed into a senior support worker. Whilst in my role as a senior, I completed my NVQs Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the care sector. After years of working as a senior, I then wanted to progress in my career and become a social worker, so I left the care sector and went to Preston University to study a three-year degree in social work. Following this, I worked in several different placement settings with a diverse range of service users with mental health needs and physical needs. I left my social work role and found myself working back in the care setting as a deputy manager, where I completed my NVQ level 5 in management. I have worked with large corporate organisations, and I have also worked in advocacy settings, charities, and within small care settings. My desire is to ensure that the people who use services are given the highest standard of care in a way that makes them feel inclusive. It is important to me that the staff I work with feel supported, empowered, and happy in their role. I will reflect, open and non-judgemental so I can learn and adapt how we all work together in the longer term.
