We were looking for a home for Mum that was home from home rather than institutional. We think we found it at Coote Lane Residential Home. The manager is professional and passionate about the quality of life as well as the care given to the residents. After looking around the home, which looks much more homely than some we’d seen, we made the decision that this was the place for Mum. She is still at the settling in stage but so far is settling well. It’s a big change which is helped by the friendly staff who both care for her and help her while allowing her some level of independence. We look forward to being part of the Coote Lane family in the future.

All the staff are incredibly caring and respectful to my mum. They are also very supportive of us all as a family, respecting Mums wishes and her dignity. I feel very relaxed that I leave her in the best of care hands. Thank you.

Very happy with the care given to my mother-in-law. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind review regarding Coote Lane, we all appreciate you taking the time to leave such a nice report. It really means a lot to all the staff.
My 50-year-old brother has been poorly for two years now. Unfortunately, he is struggling to look after himself. I had to find a care home. I walked into Coote Lane Care Home and was overwhelmed at the staff. They made me feel so comfortable in helping choose. The building is so homely, the rooms are amazing and the kitchen is super. Because he is still quite young to be there I was worried about how he would feel. He absolutely loves it. He has just had the best Christmas he's ever had. The staff are so flexible to his needs. He is looking so happy and less miserable (stuck unwell in a flat on his own). He's even put on weight with all the amazing food.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this wonderful review for Coote Lane. We are really pleased your brother enjoys his time there. It is always good for the staff to receive these reviews and we all very much appreciate it. It makes our job more worthwhile.

Hi there, we can’t thank you enough for the kind words about the service received. Your review means a lot to us and we really appreciate the time you took to write such a detailed review. Of course, our whole team sends their condolences to you and your family, and wish you all the best for the future
My mother spent over three years in this care home. During this time she could not have received any better care than she did. The staff are absolutely amazing, the love and care that my mother received were incredible. They could not do enough for her to meet her needs. Which near the end of her life were extensive. The dedication to the care of the resident's health and well-being is second to none, calling in external services immediately when required and liaising with the loved ones I cannot fault. They work tirelessly sometimes without any thanks or recognition for their very hard work. I really don’t think my mother could have had any more love and care than she did; she was never left alone at the end of her life, when I left her bedside to nip home, a carer always sat with her to keep her company so that she wasn’t alone and on occasions even in their own time. I cannot recommend this care home any more strongly, I definitely made the right choice.

All the staff are friendly and caring. According to my mum, they can't do enough for you. They made my mum's transition from home to residential care so easy.
Fantastic care. Thought my gran wouldn't make it but after going into this care my gran is like a new woman and now 97 with the care this home she will reach 100, excellent care and support with amazing staff and management.
My grandmother thrived in the nurturing environment of Coote Lane. The staff are exceptional and attentive to their residents needs. The house manager made the transition from the hospital to the home effortlessly and went above and beyond her duties in looking after my grandmother.
Would strongly recommend and thank you.

Meet the Team (1)

I have been working in the Health & Social Care sector for 26 years; I started my journey when my daughter was three months old. I started working as a care assistant for 2 years. Following on from this role, I then progressed into a senior support worker. Whilst in my role as a senior, I completed my NVQs Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the care sector. After years of working as a senior, I then wanted to progress in my career and become a social worker, so I left the care sector and went to Preston University to study a three-year degree in social work. Following this, I worked in several different placement settings with a diverse range of service users with mental health needs and physical needs. I left my social work role and found myself working back in the care setting as a deputy manager, where I completed my NVQ level 5 in management. I have worked with large corporate organisations, and I have also worked in advocacy settings, charities, and within small care settings. My desire is to ensure that the people who use services are given the highest standard of care in a way that makes them feel inclusive. It is important to me that the staff I work with feel supported, empowered, and happy in their role. I will reflect, open and non-judgemental so I can learn and adapt how we all work together in the longer term.
