My mum Amy came to live at acorn heights along with my dad. Everyone was so welcoming from the start. Anita the manager is a lovely lady ! Working in a care home my self I can see she is not your average manager you'll find Anita still sat in the office making sure everything's ok at 7pm at night ! Most managers stay 9-3. You're always welcome to Anita's office for a chat. All staff are very supportive and you can see how great the other residents wellbeing is . My mum sadly past away yesterday something we wasn't prepared for at all. Acorn heights gave us so much love and support . My mum was the happiest I've seen her living at acorn heights after not liking her previous care home . She loved the food the staff and manager she even went out in the garden which she hasn't done in a long time due to reduced mobility . Honestly can't thank them enough and will be eternally grateful for the amazing care she received and I know they'll continue to support and look after my dad xxx

I'm making a complaint about the way U are treating my uncle, he can't sit outside without a member of staff being present. There are no activities for him. On a previous visit my wife needed to use the toilet and the wallpaper was hanging off. It also says that the home has a minibus but does not. I feel my uncle is being neglected, he needs care. The activities staff member is abroad on holiday and the other one left. This is neglect, things need to change. He's 52 not a child he needs activities to do, it's not nice atmosphere there.
