Field View Care Home offers residential care to older people with a whole range of needs. It also offers respite care and specialist dementia care.

Personalised care is prioritised in the home and residents are encouraged to bring in pictures and ornaments so they can personalise their bedrooms.

Activities are a crucial part of the home and as well as singers and entertainers visiting, there are daily activities put on by its in-house activity coordinator.

My cousin enjoyed every minute at Field View. The staff were all very friendly and capable. We wouldn't hesitate to come again.
The home is very comfortable and clean. He was very impressed with all the entertainment and craft lessons that were provided and the food was excellent.
Well done to all
the staff.

My dad is has been a resident at Field View for 18 months now during which time his dementia has deteriorated. The staff at Field View have been unbelievably kind to my dad, the home is "homely" rather than clinical and he is very settled and content there, which hadn't previously been the case when
he had been in respite elsewhere. I can't tell you how much better I feel knowing that Dad is being cared for by people who are genuinely fond of him. I am only sorry that the site doesn't allow me to name individuals, but the young man who is Dad's key worker knows who he is and there are no words to express how grateful I am to him for the care he has shown to my dad. He is a credit to himself and to the home.
Reply from Mariyam Jogi, Manager FV at Field View Care HomeThank you for your kind words and for acknowledging our staff's passion for providing care to our residents. We will pass this feedback to our staff and please continue to provide us your valuable feedback to us. Once again thank you for working in partnership with us to achieve the best care possible for our residents.

Every time my husband and I visit my brother in Field View we have been welcomed warmly by members of staff, they are always knowledgeable about my brother's welfare and state. They know exactly which room he's in (which says to me they have an interest in him and that helps a lot).
We know that
my brother participates in the activities that the staff put on and that he is very happy doing so. He has made friends with a number of other people who live there, one in particular who he delights to sing to.
He seems to be happy there and we know he is well taken care of, this is such a relief to us because we only want the best for him.
A big Thank you to staff members of Field View Care Home.

I have been visiting Field View care home for about 3 years now. My great aunt was a resident for a couple of years until she passed away. My granddad goes to Field View every Wednesday for day care, and now both grandparents have been staying as my grandma recovers from a major operation. In all the
times I have visited I have found the home really pleasant to visit, the staff are very friendly and are willing to help in any way possible. The place is always clean and staff on hand when needed to talk to. All in all I would definitely recommend this home to anybody that needs this sort of care. I can leave my family here without worry knowing they are well looked after and cared for.

My mother has been very ill with recurrent illness episodes 6 times over the last 7 months, with 3 emergency blue light admissions to hospital. She would go home when medically fit, but she had lost her physical fitness and confidence. She became resident for respite care in Field View at the beginning
of August and has progressed from being withdrawn
and very sickly to eating, socializing and gaining confidence back in the space of 4 weeks. She has nothing but high praise for the staff who are energetic, knowledgeable, friendly and always available and I am content in the knowledge that she is well cared for and happy.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.885)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.885) out of 10 for Field View Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.885 for Field View Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (232 Excellents x 5) + (30 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 262 Ratings = 4.885
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Field View Care Home is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
