Overall we are happy with dad's care and the home. Our dad is settled and safe. One suggestion would improve things more - communication. Sometimes we have to ask staff about things e.g. where are his glasses or hearing aids and staff don't always know or give different answers which can be frustrating. We also would like to recommend setting up a monthly or bi-monthly meeting for updating on care with dad, care home, family. Think this would really help overall. Thanks.
My mother has been here since 2015 and her care has been excellent. The staff are kind and very good at their jobs.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I will pass this on to all the staff team.
This review is difficult as the home is in lockdown so I have not seen my husband but have spoken to him on the phone, as he has dementia I do not know if he knows me. The staff have always been very helpful on the phone and tell me he is fine. Before lockdown, I visited and was very happy with the conditions at the home.
Thank you for your lovely comments; the pots at the front are still in bloom. Thank you again for doing this, we will pass on your comments to the staff team.
I am very happy.
I would like to thank you for the lovely comments and taking the time to submit a review.
As a resident of 2/3 years, Cantley Grange is at all times well run and comfortable. Staff are cheerful, helpful, attentive to any comments or requests I make. It is a cheerful home.
Thank you for your response, this is greatly appreciated and thank you for the lovely comments.
Cantley Grange is a lovely, caring environment. My mum has Dementia and is very challenging at times. The staff are great and you are always welcome at any time.

When we first looked around at care homes for my mother, who has vascular dementia, we viewed and visited numerous homes to ascertain the various standards we were likely to expect. As soon as we walked through the door at Cantley Grange we were greeted by very pleasant and helpful staff and the surroundings were far better than any we had previously viewed, with regards to cleanliness and the general ambience. Since my mother moved in permanently in April we have found the home to be a nice environment for her and she is very happy. All in all I would say that Cantley Grange is head and shoulders above any we personally visited.

I started visiting my friend every week as soon as she became a resident. The home has always been clean, fresh, well decorated and not smelling of urine (as some do). The big changes that have happened, in in the friendliness of the staff. They are approachable and pleasant. They treat all residents with dignity and respect. As a visitor, if I ask for something eg., help with toileting my friend, they are prompt, kind and efficient. Management are part of the team and are friendly and approachable. There is always plenty of staff on duty, sometimes using agency staff if needed. Again, they are lovely. Cantley Grange is a well run, pleasant home to visit.

My partner is in the Cantley Grange, every aspect is excellent, no complaints whatsoever. Lovely place, amazing staff, food delicious. Thank you.

Care Home Manager.
My brother is very happy with his care at Cantley Grange.
Many thanks for the lovely review. I’m delighted to hear your brother is very happy with his care and our home is welcoming. Kind regards, Care Home Manager.
The residents are always nicely dressed although sometimes I think the staff should check that they have all their underwear on. They need help to remember to clean their teeth and dentures.
Thank you for the review. It’s lovely to hear that our staff are helpful and good with our residents. Thank you also for the feedback, I will be passing this onto the staff. Kind regards, Care Home Manager
I have only one problem with Cantley Grange and that is the waiting outside to enter the building, especially if you have the resident with you and you are standing out in bad weather. A storm porch would help or for regular family members the access code to be known to get into the building.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home and the feedback. Please do come speak to me directly if you would like to discuss the issues you have raised. Thanks, Care Home Manager
I think the staff at Cantley Grange are very hard working, sociable with the residents and polite with visitors. The staff attend their every needs. It's the best home for my auntie to be in.

The home is always warm and my mum is well cared for and enjoys the food served, friendly environment.
Things have improved since they replaced chairs and carpets with cushion floor as it did tend to be quite smelly at times.
Kitchen areas really need to be replaced as quite run down.
The only issue I have is that they can't seem to get Mum showered/bathed at regular times due to the fact she can be extremely difficult and they are not allowed to force her to bath and change her clothes!!
We continually strive to provide the best care and environment for our residents and we take on board feedback, which we share with colleagues.

I find mum is quite happy there.
She is looked after very well by happy and caring staff.
The food is good and well presented.
The building is kept clean and tidy by hardworking cleaners.
Overall I would recommend the home to anyone looking to put a relative into care.

My husband has been a resident of Cantley Grange for three and half years and has sadly recently just passed away. The staff have been amazing very caring and professional to the end. They made his time he lived there a really comfortable one and we both felt part of an extended family. The care he received at the end was second to none and we will be forever grateful.
Many thanks for taking the time to review Cantley Grange. It is lovely to hear that you feel that staff are caring and professional. I am pleased your husband felt comfortable during his stay in the home and I will ensure I share all of your comments with the team. Kind regards
Communication at a time of great stress has been excellent.
The team of staff at Cantley Grange have more than earned my gratitude and that of my family for their continuing care of my mother and the way she has always been treated whilst a dementia-suffering resident.
Our staff do work hard to maintain a high standard of care and communication.
It is lovely to know that this is noted.
Thank you again.
