The care home is lovely and clean. When you walk in it doesn't smell of urine like many homes do. The care staff are very caring and approachable if you have any issues.

My mum has been in Sandygate for almost a year during what have been very trying times because of the Covid outbreak. Having Mum in a care home was one of the most difficult decisions my family have had to make, but seeing how she has settled, we now know it was the best decision. Her care there has
been excellent, with staff going the extra mile to make sure all residents are cared for with the utmost compassion and dignity. We can settle knowing she is safe and cared for whilst we get to spend quality time with her. I will be eternally grateful for all they do.

Since Mum has come to Sandygate, she has been welcomed and made feel like she is at home. My mum has never looked as good as she has for a while, Sandgate has made my mum the woman I remember. She has enjoyed the food and even put weight on, looking loads better. The staff are brilliant with my mum
and treat her with respect. My mum has not once asked to come home and enjoys being at Sandgate. My mum's personal hygiene is kept to a great standard, as this was something she struggled doing at home. Also, my mum has her hair done by the hairdresser regularly, which is maintained greatly. The management has been very helpful also, answering any questions and getting back to us to explain things that we didn't understand. I would recommend Sandygate to anyone, and I can not thank the staff at Sandygate enough. They all do a great job day in day out.

My sister was recently a resident at Sandygate for x4 weeks. She was admitted for respite following ill health. We felt she would never return home. However, with the kindness and support from staff, she regained her mobility, put on weight and seemed to flourish. The staff are kind, and my sister was
sad to leave (although happy to return to her husband).
We have not seen her this well for a long time. She is less confused and seems so much brighter.
When the time comes, she will go to Sandygate to live.

Lovely staff. Mum is happy, safe and well looked after. Mum went into the home during the lockdown, however, we have always felt involved with the regular updates. The home is working hard to enable family visits. Mum likes the food and church services.

The staff at Sandygate have been looking after my wife for the last two and a half years. In all that time the staff have treated my wife and me with nothing but kindness and respect. They have become like family. They always greet me with a smile when I visit and nothing is ever too much trouble. It
was the hardest thing I had to do, letting (what were then strangers) start to take care of my wife. I had no need to worry as she has received the best care I could have wished for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sandygate to anyone.

I am very happy with this care home. My auntie's quality of life has improved a great deal. She now has the company, medication, care and stimulation that despite our love, we could no longer provide as a family. She can maintain her independence whilst nurturing the aspects of her individuality that
help her feel secure. The stimulation this home provides is perfect - particularly the hymn singing and church worship. At home she could no longer attend church. She now is able to sing the hymns she loves and recognises and feels part of a like-minded community. Thank you, the staff are caring and provide the care I would want to give myself if I could. It has been a positive move in my auntie's life.

My mother has received a good overall standard of care during her time in Sandygate. There have been peaks and troughs brought about by a very large number of different home managers, morale has thus suffered.
The present manager has a very professional and friendly manner and will hopefully bring
much-needed stability.
Most of the care staff are very friendly and go "the extra mile".

In my career, I have worked in NHS related employment for 40 years and have a good knowledge of care homes within Rotherham. When I had to select care for my mum because of her dementia it was a 'no brainer' Sandygate offer a standard of care second to none. It is more like a 5-star hotel! The management
team are exceptional, professional whilst being friendly and approachable. The staff are so caring, warm, friendly, good-humoured and trained to an exceptional standard. They are more than willing to go that 'extra mile'. My mum is treated as an individual, her every need catered for. Visiting is not restricted, it's an open house anytime to pop in for a cup of tea, just like my mums home. Brilliant.

My mother has been a resident at Sandygate since November, the move to a facility like this is always difficult, leaving one's care home and relinquishing one's independence is painful and traumatic but the staff here have shown such patience and genuine love for my mother that she has been made as

An extremely professional and friendly service from the initial enquiry to assessment and welcome for my mother. The staff always have a welcome smile and greeting. My mother's room was freshly painted and had a new carpet laid. The room is a good size with an en-suite.


My mother loves it here and

only has good things to say about the staff and food. It is so good to have found a place that is nearby and has everything she needs and to be cared for.

My Mum has just moved here from Oakwood Centre. She has been made to feel really welcome. Has a lovely little bedroom. Suffering from dementia it is great to see her so settled and joining in with the things as she had become so isolated at home.

My mum has lived at Sandygate for almost 2 years now. She lives with Parkinson's-Dementia.
Her personal needs have changed. She now needs more help with her day to day living, after speaking with the manager I was reassured and very relieved to know my mum could move onto the dementia floor.
My mum
settled into the home straight away and has throughout her time here received excellent care from all the hardworking and exceptional staff.
The home has a relaxed and calming atmosphere and choices for the residents are plentiful across all aspects.
Highly recommended.

My mum stayed at Sandygate for a weeks respite. I have to say the care she received was excellent. The staff treated her with dignity and patience. The food was very good and served to them appetisingly. My mum has tried a number of care homes but this is the only one she is happy to return to. They
are a wonderful team who work hard to meet the needs of their residents.

My mum and I are very happy with the care she receives at Sandygate. The staff are kind, friendly and they really do care about their residents. Management and staff communicate both verbally and by telephone if there are any problems with mum.
Cleanliness at the home is excellent, activities are very
good, residents can choose their meals from a menu and are delicious. Overall, a first class home.

My mother has been with you for six months now. She is very settled here.
I cannot praise the staff enough.
Every one of them has been so good to my mum, they are so polite and caring.
I have got to know nearly every one of them on a first name basis.
I have always been kept in touch with if any
problems arose.
The manager is extremely approachable and a very helpful person.
