I have always found the staff busy and looking out for and caring for the residents. The manager is such an organised, helpful and most caring person I have ever met, and her staff to follow her lead.

Nightingale is a very relaxed and friendly place to visit. The staff are amazing to the residents. They engage the residents with numerous activities, and there is always something to look forward to. The care home is well maintained and is always clean. I know when I leave after a visit that my mother is in a safe and loving place.

We visit regularly, and the residents always appear happy, content and well cared for. We are pleased with the facilities and the entertainment package, (although currently restricted), is very good and residents are always encouraged to participate. Carers are friendly and very caring and are clearly dedicated to the job.

I have found Nightingale care home a very good home. The staff are very caring and helpful to the residents and visitors. The home is bright and clean, nothing is too much trouble for the management team and is lead by an excellent manager and assistant manager. I would recommend Nightingale care home.

Nightingale‘s was recommended to me by a friend and I struck gold with this place. If you read the Care Quality Commission report you will see what an outstanding impression the leadership made on the inspectors. It was obvious as soon as we met the carers that this was a well-run place where the carers think highly of the management and said it was a good place to work. That is so important in a care home, to make sure that the staff remain motivated. We didn’t ask mum how well the carers were doing, but every time we went to see her she always said how lovely the staff were to her. This is the most important thing when you’re looking for a care home. Forget about wonderful reception areas and Louis the 16th furniture to impress the relatives, find a place where the staff really love their patients and this is one of those rare places. Many places we contacted explained that they did not want dementia cases. Nightingales is the opposite and welcome and love everyone.

My mum joined Nightingale Care Home several years ago as an emergency admission. On that day, the manager dropped everything and drove over to my mum's house (which is miles away) to meet my mum and arrange the admission so that my mum would be safe. That should give you an idea of the ethos that underlies everything about this Care Home. All the staff go way above and beyond to put the needs of the residents first. There are always activities going on that people can interact with (or not!) as they choose. Staff are always laughing and chatting with residents and visitors alike. Whenever I visit, I am always welcomed like one of the family and it's great that my small dog can come along and be fussed by the residents and staff. The Home has always kept me well informed and up to date with anything to do with my mum's care. I cannot recommend this Home enough and I am so glad that my mum ended up at Nightingale. The place and staff have been a Godsend.

My mum has been very happy since she has been living at Nightingale care home. The staff are very caring, helpful and efficient and nothing is too much trouble for them. My mum is well looked after and is healthier and happier now than she was before she went there as she now has lots of company and stimulation due to the activities there. The staff are very caring towards her and keep her safe and happy and consider all her needs.

Our Mum moved into Nightingale in December 2019 after almost a year on the waiting list, we received regular calls whenever a room became available whilst we waited, until we could no longer meet her increasing needs due Alzheimer's Dementia. Mum settled in remarkably quickly and we were encouraged to visit whenever we wanted and for as long as we liked. After only ten weeks in her new home, Covid-19 hit but despite these extraordinary circumstances, Mum has remained happy, healthy and thrived even, despite being unable to see her family for long periods of time and that is entirely due to the outstanding dedication and commitment of the entire team at the very worst of times. We have no hesitation in saying that in our opinion, Nightingale is that special place that families like us seek for their loved one, a true home from home, with people who genuinely care.

I had to make the decision to place my mum who has alzheimers into a care home due to being unable to look after herself in her own home even though she had carers 3 times a day.
Since she has been a resident at Nightingale she is now much healthier and happier than she was in her own home. She is well looked after and is much better that she has been for a number of years.

The staff and all very caring and helpful and I am able to rest knowing the she is being well looked after is safe and secure.

Our mum is cared for with compassion, dignity and respect from all members of staff and her well being has improved immensely. We have experienced second to none communication from management and all staff throughout and we feel this demonstrates good leadership and teamwork within the home. Nightingale has a strong feeling of community spirit and inclusion for all residents. The well-planned activities are extremely good and very person-centred with many choices available and has proved to be a positive outcome for our mum. We always experience staff as very welcoming when visiting mum and so caring with all the residents. The food is very good and varied which has improved mums appetite much to our delight. Overall our mum is happy, settled and always smiling which is a testament to the care she receives and this makes us very happy. We as a family have no hesitation in recommending Nightingale for your loved one.

Our father became a resident in Nightingale following my mother's passing and after a decline in his health. He was living there for just over 15 months until his passing in December. In that time, dad was well looked after, and after some time to adjust, he settled in well. He was reluctant to leave his room but over time, with support and encouragement from the team of staff, he started to socialise with the staff and some of the residents. Dad came out of his shell and reverted back to the dad we remember, a friendly, cheeky dad.

All of this is thanks to the staff at Nightingale, they, in turn, became part of dads family. We can't thank the staff enough for their help, support and hard work looking after not only our dad but the other residents too. They all do an amazing job. We would be more than happy to recommend Nightingale to anyone needing care.

Since Mum moved in her overall health has improved, she has gained weight and is looking much better.

The carers and management take the time to get to know each resident well and always find time to chat or engage in activities with them. The carers treat the residents with dignity and love and Mum always appears well cared for. There are lots of activities and outings arranged for the residents and their health is well looked after by the doctor/chiropodist etc.
