I feel really happy that my mother is in Nightingale care home. She is really cared for by the staff that are true carers and really do care. The staff know all individuals very well, they are consistent (not always having, new staff members) which I feel works very well for my mother and others support needs. Nothing is ever too much for the staff and management they are all approachable and always willing to listen and help. Because my mother is cared for really well I feel relaxed I enjoy my visits to see my mother. I cannot praise the care home or staff enough for looking after my mother well.

Mum quickly settled into this care home. The staff are friendly, kind and caring. Every effort is made to ensure mum is happy there. There is a good programme of activities which mum takes part in even though she was reluctant to do these things when living at home. We are very pleased with the standard of care provided.

Overall Experience

The care and compassion shown to residents by all staff are second to none. Staff take the time and trouble to really get to know the residents and are attentive to their individual needs. They treat residents with dignity and respect and do their very best to engage them in conversation and the many diverse activities on offer. There is a strong sense of community at Nightingale. As well as the friendliness of the staff, the atmosphere and decor give a sense of a family home rather than a care home. Visitors are made to feel welcome at any time of day. No matter how busy staff are, they always make time to talk to family members and address any concerns they may have. The home always appears well staffed, and I feel confident about Mum's safety. Mum's dietary needs are well catered for, and she always looks smart and well cared for. The communal areas and Mum's room are always spotless. Overall I am delighted with the care received by Mum.

On my visit to review the care plan and visit my relative, I was greeted and updated on developments by friendly informative staff. There were signs of decor being cared for in the form of fresh paintwork.

The private meeting was well organised and a good opportunity to talk over care with the doctor.

My mother has been a resident in Nightingale for 4 1/2 years now and the care she receives is outstanding. The staff and management are friendly and very approachable, nothing seems too much for them. As family members we are always encouraged to put forward our views and are always "kept in the loop" as to what is happening within Nightingale. I feel the care my mother receives is of an excellent standard and because of this I feel at ease knowing my mother is safe and well.

My mum has been in Nightingale Care Home since November 2016. The home she was in before closed down. I am more than pleased with the care she gets. She seems content and happy. The staff and management seem happy at their work and always busy. They are always willing to answer any questions I ask regarding mums welfare. I am very impressed with everything about Nightingale Care Home.

The biggest testament to the care provided is that my father is as happy and content as I have seen him in a long time. He is not the easiest resident to deal with but is managed to take into his account his current moods to make him as presentable as possible. The activities stimulate him and he loves the entertainment and activities provided. Having consistent carers promotes confidence in him and allows tasks to be undertaken who understand his condition and mood. The home is clean and food and drink very good to such an extent that he continues to put on weight.

My mum has been in Nightingale for about 5 and a half years. She is well settled and regards this as her home. Because of the nature of my mum's dementia she can be very difficult at times, the staff manage her very very well.

My mum is being looked after she is an old lady who can't remember anything and needs care even though she doesn't think she does. She doesn't want to be in a care home and we don't want her in one but there is nothing we can do she needs looking after 24.7.
