The home Is kept very clean and tidy.

We simply could not have gotten through these last 2-years without the care, support and understanding of the care team at Summerfield. It’s unbelievable to think that my mother-in-law has been a resident for over 2-years, and of that time, the first 10-months only have been without Covid restrictions. However, we have had peace of mind as she’s been safe, well-fed and so well-loved the whole time.

The outside areas were adequate, and significant improvements are currently being undertaken to upgrade these areas.

As soon as I walked into Summerfield, it felt like home. No nasty smells! Staff friendly and approachable. They couldn't do enough for my mum. They understood her needs. She was there for over three and a half years. We were kept updated with changes to Coronavirus. They even had a pod later for us to visit. Then when Mum was at end of life, I was allowed to visit following all safety precautions. It meant the world to me to spend time until the end with her. I couldn't have wished for more.

A lovely home, Mum was well looked after. Staff were very friendly and cared for Mum even though she could be a bit hard work sometimes. Had a nice letter from the owner of the home when she passed away.

I do not think I could find a better nursing home.

Moving into 2020 the standards of Summerfield remain consistently high. I have regular two-way communication with them. I have been so lucky to find a great home for my mother. It takes the pressure off.

The owners and all the staff are very welcoming and caring. They have a wonderful empathy with their residents, individual needs are fully met. The provision of interesting activities further helps to improve the day to day routine for the residents.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to anyone seeking a good place for their relative.

Summerfield care home took care of my mum at a time when she most needed it. She was at the home for several years and the care she received was excellent. I visited the home many times and witnessed first hand the consistent level of care she receives. The staff are excellent.

Everyone has helped me to accept I can no longer look after my husband and made my visits to Summerfield a pleasure. Watching the staff work has helped me to learn new skills and coping strategies. I thank them all.

All the staff are kind caring and very patient and make me feel very welcome. Out of the four homes, (my partner has been in three before Summerfield), I'm happier with this care home and he seems more settled here.

The residents are treated like family, with respect, patience and understanding. Summerfield is always clean, well maintained and welcoming. The staff are always very friendly. They really take time to get to know the residents and their families. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The standard of the home is very good with improvements constantly made.

Generally very satisfied with the care of Mum who passed away 02/12/2015. One point any article of sentimental/ value should not be left with the resident they sometimes go missing. This was the case with Mum who either misplaced / lost / or gave away two items of jewellry of great sentimental value to me. A safe is available at the home.

Mum's room is always spotlessly clean, the staff are always extremely helpful, friendly and conscientious, their devotion to the people in their care never ceases to amaze me. I don't think mum could be better looked after anywhere.
