Park Riding

We feel so very grateful that mum has settled well, and knowing that she is well looked after means such a lot.

Since it became apparent that Mum needed 24-hour care and she went into Park Riding, her health and well-being has significantly improved. It feels to us that she has just moved house and not gone into care.

Visiting takes place in privacy in the conservatory although this could do with an upgrade.

Peace of mind that Mum is well looked after, can't thank the staff enough for their kind thoughts and care. Well done Park Riding.

Amazing care home, very well run. My mum has been a resident since September 2022. It is like home from home. All the staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. Family and friends are made to feel welcome during visits.

We know that all the residents are safe, settled and comfortable. My mother has been a resident at Park Ridings for nine years. and has always been cared for with the upmost respect and preservation of dignity. all the staff always go that extra mile. They are professional, caring and understanding. Can't praise them highly enough.

We picked this care home because of its homely feel, not as clinical as other homes Mum has been in.

My mother valued her independency and when it became clear she could no longer cope living in her own home Park Riding was recommended to us. It has been very reassuring that the Park Riding staff have handled the transition so well. It took a little while but she is now settled and happy there. The staff are excellent and as the home is so small know all the residents well. My mother, who was an excellent cook, tells me that the food is very good. Her room is small but comfortable and she loves the view across the valley. My one small negative comment has been the state of the garden but this is much improved this year.

Park Riding has cared for my mother for just under 12 months. She has suffered from Alzheimer's disease for a number of years but in recent times it has been very aggressive and she now has very little memory left. The standard of care and the level of compassion has been exemplary in a friendly and safe environment which is a huge comfort to me. Thank you.

Since my mother's move into Park Riding last year I have been really pleased with how everyone has made her welcome. The Care Team are brilliant and really go out of their way to get to know each individual resident. The manager has been very helpful and will always respond to any questions which I have raised regarding a variety of issues. I feel very happy that my mother has settled in well and really likes her room and wonderful view. Hoping that once the summer arrives that everyone can finally enjoy the garden and days trips out into the countryside.

In all the current difficulties, Park Riding has continued to provide a safe and homely environment for its residents. They responded brilliantly to the individual needs and wishes of residents. Their ethos is to let residents live their lives as they want to.

Park Riding has cared for my mother for over 5 years with kindness and competence. Although I've been unable to enter the house for nearly a year the staff have facilitated excellent Covid19-secure virtual and more recently actual visits, and my mother seems comfortable relaxed and content. The staff are always welcoming and accommodating to any queries. I am very grateful to them for continuing working and looking after my mother with tenderness and patience in this pandemic.

Caring supportive staff who made a very difficult time of life and transition for my mother much easier for all the family. Park Riding has been fantastic at taking care of my mum whilst we've been unable to visit due to Covid-19. They've also kept us up to date on how well she's settled and helped her feel more like she is somewhere safe now she can no longer be at home due to her detioration of her Altzheimers.

My mother has been a resident in Park Riding for nearly four years. She had advanced Alzheimer's disease but she is very calm and relaxed whenever I see her, which is quite frequent. The staff are always very caring and are looking after her well.

Our Auntie has been in Park Riding for nearly five years and before that my Mother in Law. Both have been looked after with care and compassion. The staff is always very pleasant and my Auntie is always dressed nicely and clean. The home does not smell like some care homes. If there was anything wrong we would tell the staff immediately, which we have never had to do. It is only a small care home which is why it is like a home away from home. As Park Riding has mostly been closed to visitors (except for a few weeks in June/July), I have kept in touch with my mothers care mainly by phone, and some video calls with my mother facilitated by staff. She seems to be well cared for as ever, and she has been relaxed, has seemed comfortable and at times relatively alert, in spite of her reduced communication skills. My review is partly based on pre-lockdown experience.

Generally very pleased with all aspects of the facilities and the care available at Park Riding. Sadly due to covid-19, all contact has been via telephone. Whenever I ring, my mother always seems to be happy, and all of the staff are extremely helpful.
