Park Riding

Generally very pleased with all aspects of the facilities and the care available at Park Riding. Sadly due to covid-19, all contact has been via telephone. Whenever I ring, my mother always seems to be happy, and all of the staff are extremely helpful.

I was there for respite 14 days. The staff were really very good everyone of them.

My lovely Mum spent four happy years in her final home at Park Riding. The care she received from the staff was excellent, the staff turnover is low and in all my visits I never saw fewer than three members of staff there. The atmosphere in the home is welcoming and it smells clean. Mum always enjoyed the food. My Mum had earlier expressed her wishes that she wanted to die peacefully at home and that is exactly how it happened to her. The staff at Park Riding worked seamlessly with outside agencies to ensure Mum's comfort by having the necessary medication all ready for her before she was confined to bed, bringing in a hospital bed, being alert to Mum's changing symptoms to notifying the District Nurse Team etc. During this time, the staff regularly came into Mum's room to care and chat with her. I felt that the care that she and my family received was exemplary and I am forever grateful. I know that the decision that I made to choose the last home for Mum was the right one.

Better than previous experience of care home. Difficult to be positive as not a situation we would have chosen to be in for elderly relative.

My friend always seems comfortable and happy. She says she enjoys the food. Staff are always pleasant and helpful.

Staff are very patient with the residents. Nice community, friendly environment.

My mother is very content and comfortable and feels secure; well cared for and cared about. I am always made very welcome and never feel like a "customer" but part of the family. My questions or concerns are always taken seriously and sorted out quickly and cheerfully. Support from medical services is always accessed quickly and smoothly and I am always kept informed of outcomes.

My mother has been in Park Riding care home for a few years now and has been very well looked after, with no complaints from her re her care. With being nearly blind and immobile her move to a downstairs room has been most beneficial, as everything she needs to do is within a short distance, which suits her walking with zimmer frame. The home management was involved in mother visiting hospital twice last year, both found unnecessary. A new plan is now in place with the GP.

Can't comment on the room as I haven't seen it.

My mum seems genuinely peaceful/relaxed whenever I go to visit her, and I am very happy with the level of care that my mum is receiving.

I like it here, I feel safe and happy.

Most importantly my father is happy and settled.

My aunt has been at Park Riding since August 2017. Following the initial settling in period, she is now happy with her life at Park Riding, Her every need is taken care of and I cannot praise the staff enough. I visit twice a week and I am always made to feel very welcome.

Wanted my mother to be cared for in a dignified way. Could not ask for better care and attention. Staff are wonderful and a credit to their industry. A major decision made easier.

My mother has been a resident at Park Riding since November 2017 and I have to say the care is second to none and far outreaches our impression of care homes in general. Her needs are becoming more challenging due to vascular dementia, but I feel she is treated with patience and dignity by the management and staff who are friendly and approachable always making time for us. Would definitely recommend.

Mum has a comfortable room with a few personal items which we were able to bring in, hopefully, things still familiar to her.

Dad and his family are so glad we found Park Riding.

Visiting my uncle in Park Riding Care Home has always been a very pleasant experience. The staff are extremely caring and treat the residents as if they were their own relatives. Being 77 years old I have visited quite a lot of care homes to see various friends and relatives but I would describe Park Riding as the best.

I have never come away thinking there was any issue big or small that I needed to contact his daughter about. He is happy there, looks well and really enjoys his food. There is always some activity going on to keep his best interests too. 10/10.

A very warm welcome from staff every time we visit. The home is warm, clean and the residents all look well cared for. Our uncle is very happy there and the staff are lovely with him.
