Acacia Court Care Home, situated in the market town of Pudsey, is a friendly and welcoming home offering a calming environment.

With several places to relax, dine, exercise, socialise and to be creative, including a hairdressing salon, residents are offered an active lifestyle alongside plenty of moments to enjoy the peace of quiet. Outside, the pretty garden which is looked after by some of the residents provides the perfect backdrop to socialising with friends and family.

Providing person-centred residential care, the dedicated and professional care team at Acacia Court spend time getting to know residents, seeking to determine not only their care and support needs and preferences but also who they are as individuals. This allows them to provide top quality care, now and in the future, alongside ensuring that residents always have something to look forward to, whether that be engaging with activities or relaxing in their own company.

My grandma has been a resident for over five years. The care provided is excellent, the staff are wonderful, there just sometimes doesn't seem to be enough of them.
There are various enrichment activities provided and events for residents and relatives. More varied food menus would be welcomed, but
overall a caring place to be with staff who always put the residents first.

My Mother and I have had a very positive start to her residency. The staff are extremely helpful and caring, they go beyond their remit to ensure Mum is comfortable and happy. I cannot say enough about this care home. Thank you so much.

Mum receives the best care and attention we could have wished for. The staff are excellent being most friendly, caring and attentive, nothing is too much for them and all have mum's best interest to heart. We are blessed to have found such a place for mum to spend her later years and feel most secure
that she is looked after to such a degree in our absence.

The care my father received during his stay at Acacia Court was excellent. Every staff member, from carers to cleaners were kind and friendly. They took the time to talk and share memories. My father was listened to and his wishes taken into account as much as possible. He died in May and his end of
life care was excellent. He was treated with love and dignity. He was comfortable and pain-free and his family were welcomed and cared for too. Thank you to everyone at Acacia Court.

I wish to thank the manager and all her staff for all the effort they have put into organising the celebration for my mother's 100th birthday. A really good singer was arranged to entertain the residents in the afternoon, followed by a special buffet and a birthday cake.
The staff showed a huge amount
of support and love to my mother and made her day extremely special and memorable. Thank you to the manager.

My mum came to Acacia Court in September 2016, living there until she passed away in January 2017. She moved from Liverpool, where she had lived all of her life until it became apparent that she was no longer able to live independently. She settled in easily and quickly. This was due in no small part
to the professionalism of the staff and management. The care staff were always caring and attentive to my mother's needs and were ably supported by their management team who were always approachable and attentive.

My Dad's transfer from his own home to Acacia Court Care Centre couldn't have gone better. The staff welcomed him and he warmed immediately to the wonderful, friendly, homely, caring atmosphere of the home. He loves the room, the food and their care and attention. He has a named carer who looks after
his every need, plus his family are welcome, visitors are included in every aspect of his life.

Our mum came to the home following a stay at Wheatfields Hospice Leeds. After settling into her room she quickly made good friends with other residents and especially all the staff. She felt comfortable and relaxed at the home and spoke highly of the staff who cared for her. The family were therefore
very appreciative of all the efforts of the staff. One staff member even brought in a newly born baby for mum to see and enjoy. Thank you very much.

Acacia Court has recently got a new manager and I have to say it has made a huge difference to both myself and my mother. She is kind, efficient and friendly! Mother would not be happy if she were in Buckingham Palace so I guess we have to be thankful for small mercies. I feel the room requires refurbishing
and the food could be more interesting. I do bring 2 treats every week for her. The staff are very caring and I feel mother is lucky in a lot of ways.

Making sure Residents have a choice of their favourite foods is really important to us. We record individual preferences to make sure our fresh food menus are created around what they want most. We also now have trolley offering Residents tea and cakes. We are delighted to welcome families and loved-ones to share in mealtimes, and the Sunday roast is a special time at many of our homes.
The Home Manager operates an open door policy and you are welcome to pop in anytime to discuss any concerns you may have.
