The staff are all so kind and caring and nothing is ever too much trouble especially when I call up at odd times asking questions. During lockdown, I felt confident we were kept updated on care and kept interaction going by video call. I am told the food is lovely most of the time.
Was there for a fortnight while recovering from a new hip operation. I much enjoyed my stay, was given all the help I needed and staff were very kind. I'd have been happy to stay permanently if I could have afforded it.
Thanks for helping the resident recover after several falls at home. The resident's legs have healed well and they appreciate the care in creaming her legs on a regular basis. Mentally, she is in a much better place.
My father has been in permanent residential care with White Rose Lodge since September 2020. We have nothing but the highest praise for staff and management. My father quickly settled in and takes part in all the activities. He has improved both physically and mentally and is very happy there.
A very nice place that appears to be like a hotel. The gardens and seaside attracted us (could do with more outside seating though.) A lot of the homes we viewed had very little, or no outside space and residents were not encouraged to go outside. Very sad.
We have always found the staff to be friendly, compassionate and caring and our relative is happy to be living at White Rose Lodge Care Home.
I am happy with the care my mother receives at the White Rose Lodge care home. The staff are always cheerful and happy and they treat residents with respect. The entertainment is good and my mother enjoys the meals.
White Rose Lodge is clean, comfortable and caring. Having worked in care myself I have been a long time looking and researching for my brother-in-law. I now know I have found the right place for him to have respite care.
Warm welcome by manager, pleasant staff who showed me to my room and explained procedures. Atmosphere bright and decoration of inside light and attractive. Excellent health check for medical details taken by senior carer who immediately arranged for District Nurse to examine my injured toe which had occurred just before I went to the home. Antibiotics prescribed and obtained by home. Senior carer advised leg elevated till the pain was gone. Staff frequently came into my room to see if they could help in any way. Genuinely desiring to make my respite stay enjoyable. Food was interesting and appetizing. Quiet library with sea view and cliff walk. Lounge for activities varying from entertainment from outside to Religious service on Friday for those wishing to participate. All positive.
Care at White Rose Lodge is excellent. Without exception, carers are patient, friendly, caring and loving. They treat mum like the most important person in the world whilst they are with her. Food all seems good and varied, importantly mum is frequently encouraged to drink more. The activity program is good. Mum enjoys bingo. Everywhere is clean and warm. Staff are open to suggestions - after I asked that she is not left in bed with nothing to do, she has always been left with newspaper and magazines. Wifi could be better.
The activities are very good. The relaxation and exercise class today was excellent. My mother enjoys joining in and gets a lot out of it. Overall very happy White Rose Lodge.
She always looks forward to her "holidays" there. Everyone is pleasant and talks when they see you and usually have a little time to make conversation with you. Overall a very nice place to be in your late life. The coffee morning in August was excellent and very well organised.
The beds were ok but basic as was the shower.
Once we learned the routine, great holiday.
Throughout my stay, I felt very well looked after, I had a lovely room overlooking the garden and staff were regularly calling in to see if I wanted any help. There were many visitors from outside providing services. I really enjoyed my evening Horlicks.
I fell in the bathroom one night and was laid on the floor until the nurse did her routine round. The buzzer would not work.
Mum settled in well at White Rose Lodge. She made many friends and the staff were very friendly and supportive. We were always made welcome when we visited mum and always found it clean and tidy. They have a lovely restaurant, and in the lounge, activities daily where residents get together and socialise. It was heartwarming to see mum so settled. We knew then we had made the right decision to move mum to WRL and we highly recommend it.
Will return as soon as. Huge thank you's.
Over the 3 1/2 years that my mother spent at White Rose Lodge, Bridlington, until her recent death at the home at the age of 105+ years, her family have been totally satisfied with the wonderful care and loving support provided by each and every member of staff.
At a very traumatic time for the family, the management support and information made available helped us make sure that the right decision was made. We are delighted that the home is making a real difference to mum's day to day living and wellbeing.
My husband's stay greatly added to the quality of his life. The care and kindness of the staff were superb and beyond what could be expected. All I can say is a very big thank you.
