Overall experience is very favourable. The premises, bedroom and bathroom are very clean. The food is very good (indeed exceptional - well-cooked, good range of vegetables and varied menu, meat is tender and not gristly). The staff seemed genuinely caring but I did not personally meet many during my visits. The site itself has great appeal.
Friendly and caring, look after Dad well.
The girls were very nice and helpful, I had help when needed and was grateful.
I have been visiting a resident and taking her out for a few hours each week. My experience at the care home has always been positive. Staff always follow current guidelines appropriately and are professional and welcoming. The resident always seems to be happy living there and has never relayed anything other than positive views.
After six weeks, my mum is still very happy there and I honestly can't say a bad word about the home or the staff who care for my mum.
I wouldn't complain if I ended up there myself!
It is our pleasure, to look after your mum and we would like to say thank you for the kind words. We do enjoy our work and our time spent at White Rose Lodge and we hope the same goes for the residents.
My mother went to White Rose Lodge for respite care in October 2021 and decided to stay as a permanent resident. She soon settled in and is very happy there, her health has also improved. The staff are very kind, caring and patient and always make time to chat to her. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home which truly is first class.
Mum has been a resident at White Rose Lodge for 9 months and has settled in very well. She enjoys joining in with daily activities. All staff are very caring and approachable, answering any questions promptly. This is the best care home she has been in.
At first, the staff appeared to be caring and lovely but as time went by this did not continue, he ended up bedridden with no stimulation. My father is now in another home and is thriving and the staff cannot do enough for him.
Thank you for submitting your feedback. We are very saddened and disappointed to discover that you and your father feel you did not receive the standard of care we strive for each day at White Rose Lodge before he moved out in September 2021 and for this, we sincerely apologise. Prior to placement at White Rose Lodge, we had a very negative experience of respite care following discharge from hospital. It was so bad that it warranted an adult safeguarding referral and also contacting CQC who were to follow up. Our faith in social care was restored by White Rose Lodge. They treated my mum with respect and dignity which she deserved. Excellent.
Cannot believe the quality of care my mum received whilst in your care, both mentally and physically. 5-stars to everyone involved in the last few weeks of her (life) stay with you.
It's very hard to put into words the care and love my mum had in the year she was with you. At the end of her life, we could go in any time and in Mum's last few days we could go in anytime. One time, at the very end, we went in three times a day and a staff member was always with her holding her hand, singing to her. It gave us great comfort and I can't thank all the staff enough. Mum passed on the 16th February 2022, she was 101 years old. Thank you so much.
Plus 100% for the staff and home comforts.
White Rose Lodge offers the best possible care at an affordable cost. The services provided are first-class. The facilities and the cleanliness are great. The activities provided and offered to the residents vary and offer everyone an opportunity to do something.
My parents are happy here. They are well looked after and most of their needs are met. I can visit any day I choose so this fits in well with my busy lifestyle. I enjoy my visits and my parents do too (I think!). I would certainly recommend White Rose Lodge to others.
I was in for two weeks, my husband stayed for almost three years. He was happy there and I loved my visits there. Now he needs more nursing care as his Parkinson's progresses. The staff were kind and caring. The food was great and the handyman was a man of many talents, keeping the building looking good and cared for. Overall, it was a good experience. I hope his new place will be as good - one can hope. Thank you.
I was a resident completely independent and in isolation at White Rose Lodge for two weeks following my discharge from hospital having been treated for Covid. I, therefore, am not in a position to tick some of the ratings asked due to my isolation. My taste was impaired so difficult to comment on the food. I felt the evening meal was far too early at 4.15 pm.
From our first visit to our last White Rose wasn’t just a care home, it’s a family and it’s the work and dedication of all the staff that make that family. For this, our family will be forever grateful for making Mum's stay the best she could have had.
Safety and security have been first class for residents and staff. Staff are caring and have been understanding during the last twelve months.
I have found that the care that my husband gets is second to none and when I ask him if he is happy in the home he always says yes. He looks well looked after and he is always clean and his clothes are washed daily and hung up in his wardrobe. I do find that he falls asleep often when I am there but he is calm.
We booked my mother into White Rose Lodge for one week's respite care. She was welcomed politely and with dignity - not over effusive which she would have hated - but warmly! The staff tried to make my mother as at home and comfortable as they could, addressing all questions to her - not about or over her! Initially, she was quite resistant to staying as it was her first experience of any care home as she still lives in her own home. However, the staff managed to make her start to integrate as the week progressed. My mother has since reported that "all the people were lovely" and the food was "outstanding". She has now requested a return visit! I cannot praise White Rose Lodge highly enough for their care, patience and dignified treatment of my mother who is not the easiest lady to please. The entire building was clean and welcoming and the staff superb. Thank you for making my mother's stay such a positive experience despite her difficult start.
