When my mum entered Cloverdale she was convinced in July, she had given a gentleman a lift in her car and she was going to view his room. This is not the case as I personally spoke to the manager to see if there was a vacant room that month. I had spent the previous week with my mum who kept, not falling over, but just tired and wanted to sleep wherever she found herself. Mum is not an overtly social person but since being in Cloverdale has come out of her shell and is now really mixing with others. I can only attribute this change in her to the dedicated staff who have the patience of saints.

My dad came into Cloverdale at short notice and the manager and staff responded efficiently and supportively to ensure that his admission was smooth and welcoming. Information was sought to help 'personalise' his care and time was taken to find out his likes and dislikes and to integrate him into the home. Communication was efficient and regular during his (relatively) short stay and staff were always caring and respectful towards him. He was well cared for during his stay at the home and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

My stay at the Cloverdale Care Home for 2 nights was very good. Food, staff and personnel were very polite, helpful and the home was very clean. Food was enjoyable etc, I have no hesitation to visit Cloverdale again if necessary in the future. Thank you.

My mother was admitted to Cloverdale for respite care. Unfortunately, she took a turn for the worse and this became 'end of life' care. She was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I could not have asked for better care. She was given 110% care from all members of staff, as were myself, father and sister. Nothing was too much trouble, no matter what the request was. I stayed with my mother night and day for 3 days until she passed away, I was cared for in the same way they all cared for my mother. I cannot thank them enough for the care and attention they gave her.

I was made welcome the moment I arrived which was very reassuring, the meals were better than I made at home. The place itself was very nicely decorated and spotless. The staff were very helpful in every way and very pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend it to anyone, the place itself is very special which means a lot, you can just sit and watch the rabbits chasing about plus lots of other wildlife. Last of all you couldn't find a better place, this is my honest opinion, the place is like a palace.

My mother has been at Cloverdale for four years and has been treated with great dignity and care by all the staff. We have had very few concerns but these have always been dealt with promptly and to our satisfaction. As we live away from the home the staff have always made contact with us and kept us informed regarding mothers well being.

My aunt has just spent three weeks at Cloverdale after undergoing major surgery. When she went in we wondered if she would ever be fit enough to return home. She is elderly and registered disabled. After outstanding care and support from the staff at Cloverdale she is now back home. She had a large comfortable room but the real plus point must be the staff who treated her with the utmost respect and catered for her every need, which were numerous. The welcome also made her feel at home.

Breadon Job Title:Care assistantJoined: 2022

Hello, my name is Breadon and I am a care assistant currently working at Cloverdale care home in Laceby. I have been part of the team since August 2022 and this has been my first encounter in the care industry. Before joining the team I had no previous experience in the sector but with support from other more experienced members of staff, I have developed into a valued and confident carer. I have a caring and compassionate attitude that is consistently demonstrated. I became interested in the industry at a young age as I have always been passionate about pursuing a role in nursing and feel like these are good steps to take to keep improving my confidence further and be able to do something that I thrive at.

Toni-Ann Job Title:Care AssistantJoined: 2023

Hi,

My name is Toni-Ann.

I have been offered an amazing opportunity of working at Cloverdale Care Home.

I don't currently have any health and social care qualifications but I am working towards achieving the care certificate and after that, I am hoping to gain NVQ 2 and 3 in Health and social care.

This is my first caring job. I hope that I will make new friends and learn new skills.

I am looking forward to meeting all of the families of the residents I care for as we don't see many people working nights, it is nice to get to know the people in the photographs in the residents' room.

I would like to say thank you to Stacey for giving me my first care job, for giving me a chance and for helping me to gain skills to care for the residents.
