Visiting

  • Gresham Lodge Care Home operates an open and welcoming visiting policy. Family members, friends and loved ones encouraged to visit residents, and no routine restrictions on visiting times. Gresham Lodge believe that maintaining meaningful relationships is essential to residents' wellbeing and quality of life. On rare occasions, visiting arrangements may need to be temporarily amended to protect the health and safety of residents, staff and visitors, for example during an infectious disease outbreak or where advised by Public Health or other healthcare professionals. Any temporary changes will be communicated clearly to relatives and visitors as soon as possible. Well-behaved dogs and other companion animals also welcome to visit, as we recognise the positive impact that animal interaction can have on residents' emotional wellbeing. Gresham Lodge Kindly ask that visitors inform the person in charge before bringing an animal into the home so that appropriate arrangements can be made to ensure the safety and comfort of all residents.

Parking

  • Gresham Lodge Care Home has a small visitor car park located at the front of the building, with space for approximately seven vehicles. A dedicated ambulance bay is also provided and must be kept clear at all times to ensure emergency access. A one-way traffic system operates within the car park to promote the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians. Visitors kindly asked to follow the directional signage, park considerately, and take care when entering or leaving the premises.

All the staff I've met are truly lovely, they go above and beyond to help and look after everyone who lives there. I live in Wales, it's a long way so I do stay a good 12 hours when I visit and I always feel welcome and never in the way. Staff were looking after me too, always offering drinks, asking if I'm ok or just a friendly chat which is lovely. I was worried about Dad during the night as he wonders but after meeting the night lady last night and speaking to another on the phone I know he is in safe hands. These ladies seem to love Dad like he is their Dad. I mentioned Dad's nails were annoying him and staff cut and filed his nails there and then. I could tell Dad loved her and felt safe. Although I hate leaving him I know he is in safe hands. Thank you for making this heartbreaking time a little easier. Thank you. Xxx

Mum lived at Gresham Lodge from 2017 until she passed away recently, and throughout that time I could not have wished for her to be in better hands.
The staff are not only professional but also deeply kind and compassionate. Living abroad meant I couldn't always be there as much as I wanted, but I always felt reassured knowing she was surrounded by such dedicated carers. They treated her with dignity, warmth, and companionship every single day.

I will always be thankful to everyone at Gresham Lodge for the care they gave my mum over the years and the comfort they brought to both her and our family.

Mum has been in the home since December 2024. To date I have found the care to be excellent. Mum is well looked after and all the staff are helpful and caring. There doesn't appear to be a high turnover of staff which means that the staff get to know the families too.

Gresham is a small lovely care home with a team of staff who really care about residents. It is safe and secure and clean and very well organised which helps with caring for residents with dementia and other health issues. They spend time trying to stimulate residents with various activities including family and friends on occasions too. Really appreciate their work and commitment, and can't recommend them enough.

My mum attended here for Day Care. In the run up to this the staff were very helpful in answering any questions we had and showing us around without an appointment (which is always recommended).
Staff were wonderful with mum and treated her with the care and respect she deserved.
The home always looked clean and tidy. They have some great ideas for the residents with dementia. The food looked superb too. All residents seemed happy.

I would give special thanks to two ladies as they were wonderful in helping me to arrange everything.

My father-in-law was so settled at Gresham Lodge and he 'enjoyed' his respite stay. The staff are friendly and incredibly communicative dealing with all of our concerns and anxieties. The support and encouragement in getting him mobile again were very welcomed. Food was plentiful and my father-in-law has gained a few needed pounds. The rooms are spacious and airy with private toilet facilities. It says a lot about retention when staff have been working in one place for many years and this definitely shows. He has left residential care for now, but as a family, we hope to have ongoing respite care in the future. Thank you so much to everyone!

Thank you so much for your kindness while I was staying at your home, everyone was so kind, helpful and friendly. My mum has been a resident at Gresham Lodge for a year now. As we don't live in the area, we were going to move her to a care home nearer to us, but after seeing how happy and settled she was and decided against it, a decision we have never regretted. The staff are always friendly and helpful and take a personal interest in their residents. The home is in a good condition and is clean most of the time. The management is also very committed, which is an added bonus. We cannot thank the staff enough for looking after my mum. They have given us complete peace of mind, which is priceless. Thank you.

It is the best place ever and I am enjoying life in the best way I can. It is the staff that does it, they are so jolly, very caring, happy and always cheerful. Every one of them from the cleaner, cook, care staff, seniors and management. It is run like a tight ship. They are so very busy but have time for me with a cheery word and a smile no matter how many times I ring my bell. I'm in palliative care/end of life and bedridden but when I'm poorly they're extra caring and keep their eye on me and pop in to see I'm alright. The staff liaise with my GP, district nurses, my family etc and update as necessary, keeping informed is so important not just for me but my family. It is a welcoming house. I'm safe, well cared for, fed and watered and forever grateful and couldn't wish for a better place to end my days.

My journey within Marjara Care Group began when I joined the company as a 19-year-old care assistant while studying. From the very beginning, I developed a passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care and supporting older people to live fulfilling lives. Over the years, I progressed through a number of roles including Senior Carer, Clinical Lead and Registered Manager, gaining invaluable practical experience and developing my leadership skills at every stage.

To broaden my knowledge and experience, I took a career break from Marjara Care Group and joined another care provider as a Deputy Area Manager. This role gave me the opportunity to oversee multiple services, strengthen my operational management skills and gain valuable insight into different approaches to care governance and quality assurance. After this experience, I returned to Marjara Care Group as Operations Manager and Registered Manager, where I now oversee the organisation's three care homes.

I hold a Master's Degree in Psychology with Coaching and have completed a Level 7 qualification in Senior Leadership and Management. I strongly believe that effective leadership is about supporting people, developing teams and creating a positive culture where residents receive the highest possible standard of care.

Today, I work closely with each Home Manager and Head Senior across our three locations to ensure our homes continue to provide safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led services. I am passionate about continuous improvement, staff development and creating environments where both residents and colleagues can thrive.

Outside of work, I am a proud wife and mother of two sons. My family is incredibly important to me and helps to remind me every day of the value of compassion, respect and treating every resident as I would want my own loved ones to be treated.

My journey at Gresham Lodge Care Home began in 2019 when I joined the team as a Care Assistant. From my very first day, I discovered a genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care and making a positive difference to the lives of older people. Throughout my career at Gresham Lodge, I have worked hard to develop my knowledge and skills, progressing through a number of roles before becoming Home Manager. Each position has provided invaluable experience and helped shape the leader I am today.

Alongside my career, I have remained committed to my professional development. I have achieved my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, completed my BA (Hons) in Health and Social Care, and have continued my academic journey by studying for a Master's Degree (Level 7) in Healthcare Leadership and Management. Combining academic learning with hands-on experience has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of effective leadership, quality assurance, and person-centred care.

As Home Manager, I am passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel safe, respected and truly at home. I believe that outstanding care starts with a supportive and motivated team, and I strive to lead by example, encouraging continuous learning, kindness and professionalism throughout the home. My goal is to ensure that every resident receives the highest standard of care while maintaining their dignity, independence and individuality.

I am committed to working closely with our residents, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals to continually improve the quality of our service and ensure Gresham Lodge remains a place where people are proud to live and work.

Outside of work, I have been happily married for over ten years and am a proud mum to three wonderful children.
