Well-behaved dogs and other companion animals also welcome to visit, as we recognise the positive impact that animal interaction can have on residents' emotional wellbeing. All the staff I've met are truly lovely, they go above and beyond to help and look after everyone who lives there. I live in Wales, it's a long way so I do stay a good 12 hours when I visit and I always feel welcome and never in the way. Staff were looking after me too, always offering drinks, asking if I'm ok or just a friendly chat which is lovely. I was worried about Dad during the night as he wonders but after meeting the night lady last night and speaking to another on the phone I know he is in safe hands. These ladies seem to love Dad like he is their Dad. I mentioned Dad's nails were annoying him and staff cut and filed his nails there and then. I could tell Dad loved her and felt safe. Although I hate leaving him I know he is in safe hands. Thank you for making this heartbreaking time a little easier. Thank you. Xxx
The staff are not only professional but also deeply kind and compassionate. Living abroad meant I couldn't always be there as much as I wanted, but I always felt reassured knowing she was surrounded by such dedicated carers. They treated her with dignity, warmth, and companionship every single day.
I will always be thankful to everyone at Gresham Lodge for the care they gave my mum over the years and the comfort they brought to both her and our family.
Mum has been in the home since December 2024. To date I have found the care to be excellent. Mum is well looked after and all the staff are helpful and caring. There doesn't appear to be a high turnover of staff which means that the staff get to know the families too.
Gresham is a small lovely care home with a team of staff who really care about residents. It is safe and secure and clean and very well organised which helps with caring for residents with dementia and other health issues. They spend time trying to stimulate residents with various activities including family and friends on occasions too. Really appreciate their work and commitment, and can't recommend them enough.
Thank you very much for your kind words we love looking after mum she makes us all smile and we love to look after family members also were a family here at gresham lodge care home.
Staff were wonderful with mum and treated her with the care and respect she deserved.
The home always looked clean and tidy. They have some great ideas for the residents with dementia. The food looked superb too. All residents seemed happy.
I would give special thanks to two ladies as they were wonderful in helping me to arrange everything.
My Dad has been a resident at Gresham Lodge for just under a year now. He has settled in very well. I cannot fault the carers, they are extremely friendly and approachable. They keep us informed and nothing is any trouble.
My mum was treated so well here I can't recommend the place any higher.
Very clean and tidy and the food was excellent.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for family and friends to visit. They explain everything they are doing. Very clean, feels like a home from home. One of the best we have been in. She feels safe and her dignity is treated as she wants. Overall 10/10. The staff make us all welcome.
The home is clean and homely, the staff are amazing, kind and go above and beyond.
My father-in-law was so settled at Gresham Lodge and he 'enjoyed' his respite stay. The staff are friendly and incredibly communicative dealing with all of our concerns and anxieties. The support and encouragement in getting him mobile again were very welcomed. Food was plentiful and my father-in-law has gained a few needed pounds. The rooms are spacious and airy with private toilet facilities. It says a lot about retention when staff have been working in one place for many years and this definitely shows. He has left residential care for now, but as a family, we hope to have ongoing respite care in the future. Thank you so much to everyone!
Good afternoon, thank you so much for such a positive review of Gresham Lodge Care Home. I shall pass your kind words to all the Staff. It was a pleasure to look after your father-in-law and to work in partnership with you and your family to achieve better outcomes for your father-in-law.
I'm very happy with the care received for the individuals that I'm power of attorney for, and the home manager always deals with my messages and requests quickly and professionally.
Good afternoon, thank you for your kind words and taking time in completing this review, it means a lot for management and staff here at Gresham Lodge Care Home. It is a pleasure to look after your neighbours (LPOA). Let's hope for an ongoing great experience in working in partnership.
I have enjoyed visiting. All the carers are fantastic and have looked after my husband very well. He has enjoyed his food very much.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear your husband has been well cared for and enjoyed his meals. Your kind words mean the world to our team.
My mom has been here the last six years and the staff have been brilliant to her. I feel that she's safe.
I am very happy with the treatment that I receive from all the staff whatever their job is they are very pleasant and their care is excellent. Well done to all the staff, love to you all.
Thank you so much for your kindness while I was staying at your home, everyone was so kind, helpful and friendly. I'm a vegetarian and that didn't cause a problem, they told me what was on the menu and we worked around that and sorted great - it has been lovely. I cannot fault anything at all. Thank you so much.
My mum has been a resident at Gresham Lodge for a year now. As we don't live in the area, we were going to move her to a care home nearer to us, but after seeing how happy and settled she was and decided against it, a decision we have never regretted. The staff are always friendly and helpful and take a personal interest in their residents. The home is in a good condition and is clean most of the time. The management is also very committed, which is an added bonus. We cannot thank the staff enough for looking after my mum. They have given us complete peace of mind, which is priceless. Thank you.
It is the best place ever and I am enjoying life in the best way I can. It is the staff that does it, they are so jolly, very caring, happy and always cheerful. Every one of them from the cleaner, cook, care staff, seniors and management. It is run like a tight ship. They are so very busy but have time for me with a cheery word and a smile no matter how many times I ring my bell. I'm in palliative care/end of life and bedridden but when I'm poorly they're extra caring and keep their eye on me and pop in to see I'm alright. The staff liaise with my GP, district nurses, my family etc and update as necessary, keeping informed is so important not just for me but my family. It is a welcoming house. I'm safe, well cared for, fed and watered and forever grateful and couldn't wish for a better place to end my days.
Carers are friendly and helpful. Supportive, can't fault the carers. Although, could do with more bodies on the floor to help them cope.

Sumeet Marjara is the Operations Director and one of the owners of Marjara Care Group. He joined the family business in 2007 after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business and Finance. Since then, he has played a key role in the continued growth and development of the organisation.
Sumeet oversees the effective operation of the group's care homes, ensuring they have the resources, support and strategic direction needed to deliver outstanding care. He works closely with the Registered Manager, Home Managers and the wider leadership team to ensure each home operates safely, efficiently and in line with the high standards expected across Marjara Care Group.
He is passionate about providing excellent care environments for residents while supporting staff to achieve their full potential. His approachable leadership style and commitment to continuous improvement have helped shape the strong family values that underpin the organisation.
Outside of work, Sumeet has a keen interest in football and fashion. He is also a proud husband to Shelly, and family remains at the heart of everything he does, both personally and professionally.

My journey within Marjara Care Group began when I joined the company as a 19-year-old care assistant while studying. From the very beginning, I developed a passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care and supporting older people to live fulfilling lives. Over the years, I progressed through a number of roles including Senior Carer, Clinical Lead and Registered Manager, gaining invaluable practical experience and developing my leadership skills at every stage.
To broaden my knowledge and experience, I took a career break from Marjara Care Group and joined another care provider as a Deputy Area Manager. This role gave me the opportunity to oversee multiple services, strengthen my operational management skills and gain valuable insight into different approaches to care governance and quality assurance. After this experience, I returned to Marjara Care Group as Operations Manager and Registered Manager, where I now oversee the organisation's three care homes.
I hold a Master's Degree in Psychology with Coaching and have completed a Level 7 qualification in Senior Leadership and Management. I strongly believe that effective leadership is about supporting people, developing teams and creating a positive culture where residents receive the highest possible standard of care.
Today, I work closely with each Home Manager and Head Senior across our three locations to ensure our homes continue to provide safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led services. I am passionate about continuous improvement, staff development and creating environments where both residents and colleagues can thrive.
Outside of work, I am a proud wife and mother of two sons. My family is incredibly important to me and helps to remind me every day of the value of compassion, respect and treating every resident as I would want my own loved ones to be treated.

My journey at Gresham Lodge Care Home began in 2019 when I joined the team as a Care Assistant. From my very first day, I discovered a genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care and making a positive difference to the lives of older people. Throughout my career at Gresham Lodge, I have worked hard to develop my knowledge and skills, progressing through a number of roles before becoming Home Manager. Each position has provided invaluable experience and helped shape the leader I am today.
Alongside my career, I have remained committed to my professional development. I have achieved my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, completed my BA (Hons) in Health and Social Care, and have continued my academic journey by studying for a Master's Degree (Level 7) in Healthcare Leadership and Management. Combining academic learning with hands-on experience has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of effective leadership, quality assurance, and person-centred care.
As Home Manager, I am passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel safe, respected and truly at home. I believe that outstanding care starts with a supportive and motivated team, and I strive to lead by example, encouraging continuous learning, kindness and professionalism throughout the home. My goal is to ensure that every resident receives the highest standard of care while maintaining their dignity, independence and individuality.
I am committed to working closely with our residents, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals to continually improve the quality of our service and ensure Gresham Lodge remains a place where people are proud to live and work.Outside of work, I have been happily married for over ten years and am a proud mum to three wonderful children. My family is at the heart of everything I do, and they remind me every day of the importance of compassion, respect and treating every resident with the same care and kindness that I would want for my own loved ones.

My journey in the Human resources/Administrative sector began while I was studying for my Master’s degree in Project Management. During this time, I worked as a Human Resources Assistant, where I developed a strong foundation in HR administration, including maintaining staff records, supporting recruitment processes and assisting with employee onboarding.
Following the completion of my Master’s degree in 2023, I progressed into the role of HR Officer within a dementia nursing home in London. In this role, I gained valuable experience in managing HR operations within a regulated care environment, developing a clear understanding of compliance requirements and the importance of effective workforce management.
In 2026, I joined Marjara Care Group as an HR Officer, where I continue to build on my experience and contribute to the organisation. My role involves supporting recruitment, maintaining accurate staff documentation and ensuring compliance with CQC and Home Office requirements. Through my experience, I have developed a strong understanding of how effective HR practices support the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care. I am passionate about creating a positive and supportive working environment where staff feel valued and empowered to perform their roles to the highest standard.
I am committed to continuous professional development and strive to contribute to the ongoing improvement and success of the organisation.

I’ve been dedicated to the care sector since 2005, working across different care and nursing homes to support people with a wide range of disabilities. I hold NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, and in 2019 I took the leap to go to university – completing Levels 4, 5 and 6, and graduating with my degree in Health and Social Care.
Outside of work, I’m a mum to two boys and have been with my partner for over 20 years. My family means everything to me, and I also love spending time socialising with friends when I can.
