When visiting your care home, certain staff members make you feel very unwelcome. You are nearly always short of carers. One of your older seniors shouts a lot at your residents, or sits on her mobile and ignores them. Management are never on the residents' floor. Activities are very minimal, especially
for bedbound residents. Safety is very suspect. More time than not there is no hot water to wash your hands. How do residents manage?
Reply from Jankee Patel, Estates Manager at Eagle View Care HomeWe take all feedback very seriously. My apologies that your experience was not what you had hoped for. It can be very difficult when despite our 100% commitment, we don’t meet expectations. We appreciate that this may never be possible in certain circumstances, despite all efforts made, so we ensure that we continue to focus on providing an excellent service and continue to improve at every given opportunity. We feel in this circumstance all efforts were made by the home and external agencies to meet the expected standards, but we apologise you do not feel this was the case. We have a full activities team and programme in which all residents are invited to participate at their own choice, and 1-1 activities are provided as required. We have requested maintenance to look at the hot water comment as this is not something we have been aware of, however our water is temperature controlled so as not to burn. The care and well-being of our residents are always our principal priority.

My mother has only been here a short while, however, I feel she is being well treated. All staff are very courteous and helpful. The food looks very good, in fact I was really tempted by the crumble myself.

I cannot fault the support that has been received from the staff at Eagle View following a tricky situation.
The manager has been exceptional and I can honestly say all members of the care team that I have come across have been friendly and courteous.
I am more than confident that my family member
is being cared for with compassion.

Very impressed with the care home. The home is spotless and has no smell of aged people. My wife was admitted to the upper floor but the staff immediately realised she needed to be moved to the ground floor as her condition was better suited to this area. Staff cannot do enough for the patients and
the management appears to be extremely effective. I would recommend this facility to anyone.
Reply from Rahi Joshi, Marketing Associate at Eagle View Care HomeThank you for your kind words. Your feedback is very much appreciated and we are delighted to know your mum is doing well with us, and we ensure to maintain high care standards. I will forward your kind sentiments to the home team.

My father was a resident there for 3 years and was loved and cared for by a very dedicated team, and for that, I will be forever grateful. I visited Dad regularly and was made to feel very welcome. It is spacious and bright with a very happy family atmosphere and dad thrived! He interacted well and
loved meal times! During covid, I was very anxious but I was kept updated throughout. My thanks to everyone involved with Dad's care.
Reply from Rahi Joshi, Marketing Associate at Eagle View Care HomeDear Mandy, thank you for your kind words and sharing your thoughts with us. Our team will be happy to know that your dad was comfortable staying with us. I will ensure to pass on your kind feedback to the team. Kind regards, Rahi.

My father-in-law has been a resident since January 2011 and the care he has had has been excellent.
When we were advised that he was approaching the end of his life the staff were so compassionate letting me and his grandchildren be with him continually from the Thursday to the Monday when he died
peacefully aged 98!
I'm sure if he hadn't been at Eagle View we would have lost him years ago.
I would also like to express my sincere thanks to the manager who is doing a wonderful job.

My friend came to you on the 30th June 2017, for the simple reason she was very vocal at her last home and showed concerns for other residents. My friend settled very well at Eagle View and I also found the staff all very caring and did a brilliant job. Which as I say, made my friend settle very well.
Sadly it was short lived and she passed away peacefully, again all the staff were amazing.

A really professional caring care home, all the staff were attentive and helpful. Mums short stay was made easier by the care given. The activities coordinator was hospitalised but the staff made up for that as best they could with their other duties.
Sincere thanks to the home and the staff.

My experience has been a very positive one. The staff at Eagle View have treated my mother with not just care, but love and dignity.
They are aware of her every need. I have felt peace of mind knowing that the care mum has received has been the very best.
The home is always spotlessly clean and
never has that 'odour' some homes have.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.826)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.826) out of 10 for Eagle View Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 38 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.826 for Eagle View Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (413 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) + (12 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 455 Ratings = 4.826
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Eagle View Care Home is based on 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 registered maximum number of service users is 8.4, which has been reached with 37 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
