I couldn't ask for a better place for my nanna! The staff are all so kind, caring and welcoming, and they really do go above and beyond for their residents. Larchfield is a beautiful home filled with lots of love and care. I really enjoy spending precious time with my nanna here every week.

I wanted to thank the Manager and her lovely staff for getting my mum back on the road to recovery.


She had fallen very ill and eventually returned home from hospital and fell ill again with little cognitive ability. Without their help and that of other staff, I’m sure she wouldn’t have been able

to go home.


Her time at Larchfield was a happy one and the staff and fellow residents were really lovely and helpful. We were very pleased and lucky that mum had been placed there as it was close to her home which she loved. Her room was perfect and the food was something she looked forward to - as well as the interaction, games and having her hair and nails done. She enjoyed looking out onto the lovely garden.


She is doing well and has come on leaps and bounds and is more her usual self. Thanks to all concerned for their help.


Mum's care was managed under tricky Covid 19 conditions and ever-changing visiting rules across the UK which was hard but well handled by the management.

I would like to thank the Care Home Manager and her staff for the wonderful care provided to my late mother during the last four years of her life. Kind, caring and totally professional. She could not have ended her days in a safer, more caring or loving environment and I feel lucky to have had Larchfield's
support. Cleanliness and hygiene were always exemplary and the staff were just incredible. The Care Home Manager and the team have managed the home in a very diligent manner during Covid and lock downs. Thanks all

My mother lived at Larchfield Manor Care Home from 2007 until her death in 2021. During her stay, my mother needed progressively more assistance and care as her capabilities diminished and the home readily evolved their care package in response.
Inevitably in the fourteen years of her stay at Larchfield,
a variety of issues and requests arose and these were always addressed in discussion with the management team in a very effective and productive manner.

On her 89th Birthday, my mother asked us to find her a home where she could be looked after and she would not need to cook or shop for herself. This was a shock to us as my mother had always been extremely independent, having been widowed 35 years previously. At this time my mother was deteriorating
in health and we were all concerned for her safety as she continued to live alone. We began to make enquiries and thankfully Larchfield Manor was recommended to us. My mother moved in two weeks later and, thanks to the care and commitment of all the staff, I am delighted to report that we have just celebrated Mum's 95th Birthday! As a family, we are more than aware that Mum is still with us because she lives at Larchfield Manor. Mum cannot speak more highly of all the staff and we have always found them to be extremely friendly, professional, caring and supportive in all situations. We would not hesitate to recommend Larchfield Manor.

My mother is settling into Larchfield Manor. We're currently still dealing with Covid restrictions, with the staff managing the balance of safety and contact with my mother well. My mother is enjoying getting to know the helpful and kind staff. She is being encouraged to settle in including a lovely
birthday celebration for her with a cake to share. The grounds are beautiful and my mother enjoys watching the birds from the window and the seasons changing. Communication with us about my mother's needs is good despite the current Covid restrictions. It seems a cheerful, happy place where the needs of the residents are prioritised.

Every member of staff who has looked after my mother has done so in a friendly, caring manner, with an attitude that suggests that they enjoy their work.
The food is excellent. My mother was very thin on admission and has slowly gained appropriate weight.
There are daily activity sessions attended
by most residents. My mother was encouraged to attend and supported when she did so. The activities are now one of the high points of her day.
Friends and relatives are free to visit throughout the day. I have become used to being welcomed and commonly enjoy a cup of tea and a cake with my mother most afternoons!
The atmosphere at Larchfield Manor is much like a friendly club. I strongly recommend a visit if you or a relative are considering residential care.

Looking for a residential home for our 90+ mother, we were recommended Larchfield. So we visited and talked freely to staff and residents. We were impressed and rightly so because from day one, the quality of service was apparent. Mother was not the easiest resident - she was reluctant at first and
it took time for her to feel at home. But, gradually, she blended in. Food and drink were always available and a trolley constantly seemed to be doing the rounds. Tea and cakes for visitors also. Most important to us was to be able to visit when we wanted (absolutely!) and take out as we wished (of course!). The gardens were not used by many but she loved being able to walk around and do a bit of weeding/dead-heading of roses, things she was used to at home. Never a harsh word from staff - not even heard from afar. It was a place we could trust implicitly until the day, a year and half on, when she peacefully passed away.

Larchfield Manor has a very homely and peaceful atmosphere. My mother is in a recently decorated, en-suite room, which is kept clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and are very caring and attentive to my mother’s needs. The family are confident my mum is in a safe and secure environment.
If I should
need care in the future, I would be very happy to become a resident.

My mother has just become a resident at Larchfield Manor and I can confirm that all the staff, especially the managers, have helped her to settle into her new home. They have done everything in a very professional manner. The home is run in a friendly way and everything is clean and fresh. The food
always looks and smells delicious and the residents are treated with dignity and respect. I would have no hesitation in recommending Larchfield Manor to anyone who is looking for a nursing home for a loved one.

My Dad and his partner went to Larchfield Manor for respite care. Dad struggles to get around, aged 94 and his partner needed support having had a number of falls. The staff made them welcome and immediately put them at ease with a friendly approachable manner. They were shown around and given an insight
into the runnings and activities available. For example, they were delighted to see the pet pony.
An assessment of their needs was carried out in a clear and professional manner.
Dad and partner decided to stay after the respite care and were able to move in a few of their personal belongings.
Issues do arise but staff keep us well informed and decisions are made together. We feel very comfortable that they are being well cared for.

My mother and father lived at Larchfield for five years together and my mother an extra three. No matter when we visited the staff were always seen to treat any parents with dignity and care. They always kept us informed and rang us if they were concerned about my parents. They always went the extra
mile in caring for my parents e.g. playing music on their own phone to my Mum when she was dying, to soothe her. I would recommend this home wholeheartedly as the staff really care.

My parents both entered Larchfield Manor in August 2017. The care they received (up to them passing away in October 2018 and March 2019 respectively) was exemplary. They were full of praise for all the staff and my wife and I were consistently impressed by the efforts that the home went to in looking
after my parents. Both my parents felt really comfortable in the home and thought that their bedrooms and the panelled dining room/hallway were lovely. In short, we would have no hesitation in recommending Larchfield to others.

Dad moved into the Coach House at Larchfield Manor in September 2018. Since that time the home has exceeded all of our expectations. Dad is treated with the utmost dignity and respect by the amazing staff and management and we could not be any happier with the treatment and care he receives.
We visit
him most days and always get a lovely reception from every one of the staff - it really is home from home and there is always something for Dad to do if he chooses.
As a family it was not an easy decision to make moving Dad into a care home, however him being in such a warm and friendly environment helps us all relax knowing he is safe and well cared for.

I cannot express enough how overwhelmed I am at the care, in every aspect, that has been given to my mother whilst staying at Larchfield Manor. The home itself is well equipt clean and tidy with beautiful meals and lovely activities but the manager and the whole team of staff are second to none. I cannot
have asked for anywhere better for my mother to be in.

My wife (who has Alzheimers and mobility problems) has had two respite breaks at Larchfield Manor during this summer and I cannot fault the standard of care given to her. The staff treated her with compassion and understanding and were always attentive to her needs. She was made to feel welcome from
the outset. The home, though not luxurious, offers an acceptable degree of comfort throughout its various rooms and there is always a good range of activities to keep the residents occupied. The garden area is attractive and offers plenty of seating for residents to enjoy the outdoor space.

My brother spent over six years at Larchfield. He was settled and contented there. All the management and staff were very helpful and friendly. They always kept me informed of any change in my brother's condition. He was encouraged to join in the activities, which he enjoyed, especially the quizzes.


Nothing

was too much trouble for the management and staff, which made me feel confident that my brother was well cared for. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make the last years of my brother's life so comfortable and homely.

My mum had an unfortunately brief stay at Larchfield. She had been living at home with mild dementia but then had a bad fall which left her a bit wobbly and more confused so she was unsafe to be on her own. We were very nervous about her going into a home and she was horrified when she saw the sign
saying "Care Home". However, from the second the manager welcomed her into the property, she felt wanted, valued, calm and safe. I cannot fault any of the staff at Larchfield, every one of them were caring, considerate and capable. Mum went from never wanting to go in "one of those places" to being the most content and happy we had seen her in a long time. Unfortunately, due to complications from the fall before she went to Larchfield, she had to be readmitted to hospital and now into a nursing environment. The ambience of the house and gardens is wonderful if you want something more traditional than clinical and modern. I stayed for lunch with mum on one occasion and the food was delicious.
