She had fallen very ill and eventually returned home from hospital and fell ill again with little cognitive ability. Without their help and that of other staff, I’m sure she wouldn’t have been able
Her time at Larchfield was a happy one and the staff and fellow residents were really lovely and helpful. We were very pleased and lucky that mum had been placed there as it was close to her home which she loved. Her room was perfect and the food was something she looked forward to - as well as the interaction, games and having her hair and nails done. She enjoyed looking out onto the lovely garden.
She is doing well and has come on leaps and bounds and is more her usual self. Thanks to all concerned for their help.
Mum's care was managed under tricky Covid 19 conditions and ever-changing visiting rules across the UK which was hard but well handled by the management.

I have worked at Larchfield for just over 33 years. I find the job very rewarding. I began working as a cleaner before changing my role to be a carer, and now a kitchen assistant. I enjoy being able to interact with the residents and find it very satisfying to be able to help provide a lovely environment for them to live in.

Had been a carer for a long time caring for Individuals that are visually impaired and a hearing impairment and at Henshaws College for the blind. I also use to work in the community doing community care in individuals home aswell. I then came to Larchfield to become a carer for 6 months but then I became a housekeeper at Larchfield manor care home and have been ever since- I love working with such a passionate, caring team.
