I also really like the relatives gateway. It is good to get a feel for how your relative is getting on, on a day to day basis.
Thank you so much for your review. Mum has settled in so well with us and has made the transition look very easy. It is lovely to hear you are happy with the progress she has made with us here too. Kind regards, Kate Gill
Once again I can only praise the staff at Riverside Court for their continuing care of my parent. Over the last few years I have got to know many of the staff who have been at Riverside Court since dad moved in. They have always been extremely kind and considerate towards dad as Alzheimer's has taken its hold. I can only thank them for their amazing support.
Thank you for your review and praise of our staff. It really is our privilege to care for dad, who continues to make us smile on a daily basis. Kind regards, Kate
There are many activities and I was lucky enough to visit when there were several birds of prey being shown! I have also taken part in one of the regular residents and family meetings where ideas and feedback could be discussed.
The home continues with refurbishment making everything look really nice and it is always very clean.
I am so thankful that mum managed to get a place at Riverside. She loves the views and all the activity she can see outside.
Thank you for such a wonderful review of us all here at Riverside Court. I was so happy to see you joining in with the birds of prey when they came, as it is lovely when families can be a part of their residents experience with us. Kind regards, Kate
The care home has been great for my mother in law. There are always plenty of activities that she is involved in. She has a lovely room overlooking the river and the care home is always nice and warm. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are very lucky to have the view of the river, it really does make such a difference for our residents. Kind regards, Kate
All of the staff are welcoming and cheery, never tiring of looking after the residents with love and care.
Thank you for a wonderful review. We feel activities are a key part of a residents life at Riverside Court and strive to offer a personalised service, which I am happy to see mum is benefitting from. Kind regards, Kate
Staff are always friendly and accommodating when I visit and keep me in the loop regarding my mum who has been a resident there for a couple of years. The home is very clean and tidy with good security systems in place.
Thank you for your review. I am happy to hear we are continuing to meet our standards in key areas such as safety and communication. Kind regards, Kate
I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their dedication to his care and wellbeing.
Thank you for such a positive review. Dad is a much loved member of the home amongst both staff and residents and it is our pleasure to care for him. Kind regards, Kate
Whenever I telephone, the staff and manager are extremely helpful, they are able to take my parent out around the town in a wheel chair to local shops which is great, and are very patient. The home is always immaculate clean and tidy and many members of staff have worked there for between 10 and 20 years which proves it is a happy place to work. From what I am told the tea time menu is either soup and roll or a sandwich which does not seem very substantial .
We review our menus seasonally, taking into account feedback from the resident and relatives...
Mum continues to have wonderful care and support at Riverside Court. By living here we are both able to have a better quality of life. Mum is safe, well cared for and loved, which means I can feel more relaxed knowing she is so well cared for. Mum recently celebrated her 90th birthday and it was so heartwarming to see the fuss the staff made of her. I cannot thank Riverside enough for all they do for mum and I, it is very much appreciated.
Thank you for such a positive review! I am happy to hear that you are relaxing, knowing Mum is safe and loved. It is always a joyous occasion when we celebrate a birthday, especially a 90th, so we do love to make a fuss. Kind regards.
My mother is into her third year at Riverside Court. She continues to thrive on the friendly and considerate support that she receives. Undoubtedly, the consistent kindness, care and social interaction shown by all the staff are major factors in achieving this outcome.
Thank you for your glowing review of our care for Mum. As always, Mum continues to be a prominent character within the home and is a joy to care for. Kind regards, Kate
My Mother has been at Riverside for over 6 years. She is very well looked after, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are so friendly, caring and attentive. She is very happy and content.
Thank you for your lovely review. We love having Mum with us, she is a true treasure. Kind regards.
Riverside Court embodies the 'caring' part of a care home - which is so important for the well-being of the resident and reassurance of their family. My mum came in at very short notice for respite/convalescence from an emergency stay in hospital. We felt welcome immediately and were hugely relieved to find somewhere where she could recover properly. Despite her considerable resilience, she needed both physical and health care and some restoration of her spirits. The warm, kind, friendly ethos of the home, shown by every member of staff, got her back on her feet and back to an independent full life again - in just a few weeks. We're hugely grateful.
Thank you so much for your review. Mum was a delight to have stay with us and it was bittersweet to wave her goodbye, as she had become such a big part of the home in the short time she was with us. We are all so happy that she was able to return home and that she is back to her former self. Kind regards.
Absolutely brilliant care home... run by absolutely brilliant people... cannot thank you enough for looking after my dad... it was so reassuring to know he was cared for 24/7 by lovely, friendly staff... thank you so much for everything.
Thank you for your wonderful review, both staff and residents are missing your dad dearly. He was the quiet constant within the home whose presence is being felt by all. We wish you all the best for the future, kind regards.
Very friendly staff and well-managed care home. Mum is well cared for and is as happy as it is possible for her to be now she is so frail and has lost her eyesight. It is good to know she is being well cared for and comfortable when we could not manage to look after her ourselves.
Thank you for your lovely review. Mum is a wonder to care for, she never fails to make the staff and myself smile with her stories and jokes and always manages to find the silver lining in each situation. Kind regards.
Excellent service from all the caring staff. The staff understand that they have to be patient and understanding when dealing with potentially difficult situations. They are also flexible in providing quality meals for patients who have unusual requests.
Thank you for your praise of our team; it really does mean a lot when the small things are noticed, so I will make sure your feedback is passed on to the staff. Kind regards.
Based on my experience I can not recommend this care home.
My wife has since moved into an excellent care home that truly put their residents first, the difference is amazing, and my wife is finally happy and settled in her new home.
Thank you for your review. I am so happy to hear that your wife is now settled and happy, that is all we strove to achieve but unfortunatley due to the nature of her Alzheimers this was not possible with us. The home is not the same without her here or without you visiting each week for your Sunday lunch. We wish you both all the best for the future. Kind regards
The staff are supportive of her needs and also empathise with myself during this difficult stage of life. I’m pleased that the home is not a huge residential one, as it retains a family type home.
Thank you for your review, I will ensure this is passed on to staff. We have all enjoyed caring for Mum over the recent years and continue to love seeing her smile. Kind regards
We are generally very pleased with the care given to both our parents in the home. Staff are mostly excellent and considerate and we appreciate they work incredibly hard to make our parent's lives as comfortable as possible in sometimes challenging situations. Staff are very cheerful and patient.
Thank you for your review, I will pass this on to staff. They truly enjoy caring for Mum and Dad.
Dad moved to Riverside Court at the start of 2024. His health was failing and sadly it was not to be a long stay. He passed away suddenly in February. He was fiercely independent and had always been resistant to the idea of a care home. But Riverside was a wonderful conclusion to a happy life. In the circumstances, he could not have been happier and the warmth and care he received was notable. We will always be grateful.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Dad was a sweetheart and although not with us for long, he has made a lasting impression and is remembered fondly. It was truly our pleasure to care for him. Kind regards
Excellent care offered and understanding of the resident's complicated and demanding needs. All staff and management are cheerful and caring despite putting up with difficult and at times, demanding residents.
Thank you for your kind review. The team and I strive to care for all residents as we would want our family members to be cared for, so I am glad this has been achieved. Kind regards.
