Warm, friendly and clean. Newly decorated, so light. All the staff I have come across were friendly and welcoming. They made me a cup of tea and some freshly baked cake was offered - delicious.

Riverside Court encompasses all that you would want your loved one to have in their home. It is warm, friendly and staff treat the residents with respect.

A homely atmosphere and genuine bonds between staff and residents are obvious on every visit. Residents go on trips into the Yorkshire Dales frequently and family are invited to be involved on outings.

Riverside Court is a small, homely, comfortable, very friendly and welcoming care home. In my experience, all the staff are kind and helpful. My mother is looked after very well and staff motivate and encourage her to join in with activities, which she enjoys. Mum has a good appetite and I am told she enjoys most meals. Staff make a point of telling me how well she eats, settles and sleeps at night and things she likes to do as well as things she is not keen on! I am kept up to date by staff. The owners and manager in charge are approachable, willing to help, offer advice and find out information for me. Overall, my impression is one of excellence.

Riverside Court has provided a wonderful home for my mum. I was very worried how she would manage the move from her own flat, as she has dementia and is deaf, with a cochlear implant. However I couldn't have been happier to see how she immediately settled into Riverside.
All the residents are treated as individuals and she receives excellent, personalised care from all the kind, thoughtful and smiling staff, who also go out of their way to make life enjoyable for everyone.
She has a beautiful room with views over the river and use of a bird feeder outside her window. She even has a pair of guinea fowl which come to her door to be fed. We have been able to put up her own pictures and fill her room with her ornaments and photos so it is just like her old flat.

I can visit at any time and when I do there is always a lovely homely atmosphere, with the residents always very relaxed and smiling. My mum is content, and after trips out is always keen to return to Riverside.

Having had 2 parents in homes so having some experience of other homes I have nothing but very high praise for Riverside, which stands head and shoulders above all others I have seen. The care given by all is of a very special nature and gives me great assurance and peace of mind. This also reflects on my visits when I am so welcomed by the staff and residents.

I have been most impressed with Riverside Court. My father is very content with his room. The staff are very caring and patient and reacted very well on the two occasions my father fell. When I visit him at lunchtime, I am offered lunch is a separate area which is private and out of the dining room. The food is excellent. I cannot recommend the staff more highly. The atmosphere is calm and happy. In my opinion, Riverside Court is an outstanding care home that is well managed and that delivers excellent care.

The care and attention provided by the staff was exceptional, professional and ensures her dignity until her death.

At all times the staff were extremely helpful, understanding and considerate to her wishes and to all members of her family.

Despite the complexity and variety of people they care for, they always managed to remain cheerful and spend time with our Mum who really enjoyed her time in the home and the staff became a part of her extended family.

Cannot thank the staff enough they were just amazing and caring people.

My mum spent her last four years at the home and I couldn't be more pleased that she was here. There was entertainment put on and there were many day trips on the company bus.
The staff were truly excellent, so very caring and always happy to help.
Mum was very happy with her beautiful room overlooking the lovely gardens and river.
At the end of her life, a hospital bed was delivered to the home and she was so very well cared for. The night staff were truly excellent as I and my sister were able to stay in the room with her.
When Mum finally died the staff, with so much dignity, washed and changed her. I stayed and could see how much care and consideration they gave her. When my mum was laying peacefully we (my brothers and sisters) were able to stay by her till the funeral directors arrived.

I cannot stress how wonderful Mums end of life was. The home and all the staff are really great. When my end of life comes I'd like to think I would have the same care.

When I went to visit a member of my congregation I was most impressed by the atmosphere and care I witnessed. The word "Home" accurately describes Riverside.
Carers know residents well, treat them as individuals and respond not only to their needs but also their interests, attitudes and humour.

They clearly had a good deal of choice over the meal they got at tea time reflecting a genuine response to personal preferences.

Riverside Court is a very friendly care home with a calm and caring atmosphere. The staff are very kind and try hard to make everyone feel they are at home there. They put on stimulating events in the afternoon for entertainment. It is small, giving it a more homely feel and I am very pleased and content that my mother is well cared for.

A care home with a friendly, relaxed homely feel. The carers are gentle and treat the residents with respect. They spend time with the individual residents and you can see that the residents like and trust the staff.

The home has a very happy atmosphere which is not always the case in residential homes. I would definitely recommend it.

Our experience of the staff and facilities has been very positive. This is an extremely caring environment in which the residents seem very happy.

The owners are investing in the infrastructure and facilities are always clean and tidy.

Visitors are always welcome and it's always a pleasure to pot around to see mum there.

I would recommend to others.

I am delighted to have an opportunity to say what a lovely home Riverside Court is.
Owners and staff all work hard to provide residents with a loving and positive home.
There is a good variety of activities, either run by staff or outside performers, including minibus trips.

My friend has settled in well and is comfortable and content. There's always a pleasant, naturally bright atmosphere and staff always at hand.

I have used this home for the last 3 years, firstly for my mother in law, then recommended to the family of friends. My mother in law died in Riverside with kindness and consideration above duty.

The staff are excellent and have all the time to see to the needs of the guests. Riverside is a very homely place and there is no restriction on when visiting, in fact, you are even offered a meal if arriving from a distance. I have already recommended Riverside to 2 families and will always suggest that people consider it, due to the friendly staff.

This should be the gold standard for care! We are so lucky to have found Riverside Court. I was told about it by someone whose mother had been happy there. My mother is so happy and settled. The care is amazing - above and beyond what one might reasonably expect. It is family run and it shows. You feel that the staff care for your parent as if they were their own. I cannot thank them enough. It is a kind, friendly, relaxed place - Will get my name down!

My mum was a resident at Riverside Court for 15 months. She was treated with the most wonderful care throughout her whole time here. When she took a turn for the worst she spent the last 5 days of her life in her bedroom surrounded by all her precious photography, crystal and Lladro. I spent the whole time with her and she was cared for with dignity and respect. The carers looked after us both as if we were members of the family and mum passed away gently in my arms on the fifth night. I cannot recommend this care home enough. I will be forever grateful for making my mum's life and end of life the best it ever could be.

My Mother-in-Law has been a resident at Riverside for over three years and we are very pleased with the care she has received over that period. The home is warm, friendly and caring, which we feel is largely due to the fact that it is family-run and not part of a larger more impersonal corporate group.

The regular staff are happy, helpful and friendly.

I have used Riverside Court four times over the last two years for respite for my mother. My mother loves her own home but has thoroughly enjoyed her four (holidays) in Riverside. The care and friendliness of all the staff are second to none. Games, trips out for ice cream, along with lots of fun with other residents. The owners have a home to be proud of.
