This was the second visit for a one week respite. The week went very well as now knowing the staff and routine felt much better and relaxed.
Enjoyed most of the activities with the staff. I was treated as a human and not patronised.

Food was varied and enjoyable. This visit I had a rotator stand which made getting up and into the wheelchair much easier.

The ambience of Townend Close is just right - professional yet homely. The staff are kind and considerate to the residents and welcoming and helpful to visitors.
The standard of rooms and furnishings are excellent - well designed with suitable chairs with good support.

It is helpful to have the handrails along the corridors and seats dotted around for residents to have a rest on their way around. The food is good and wholesome. We could not have found a better home. Thank you.

We were very pleased with the great care that Dad received. The staff at Townend Close are friendly, very caring and attentive and do some great activities with the residents. The home is spacious and doesn't feel overcrowded like a lot of homes and it is kept really nice and clean.

We are so glad that our father was able to spend the last part of his journey in such a special place.
It gave us great peace of mind to know that Dad was so well cared for and treated with such love and respect.
We were overwhelmed with the support and kindness he was shown in his final days and also that we, as a family, had this care and support extended to us in his last days.

We cannot thank the staff enough.

Townend Close has a warm and welcoming feel to it. It's homely, clean and recently gone through some refurbishment work which looks great. It is well staffed and they all do a great job. My mum has only been there a couple of months but she has settled in really well and is very happy there. My mum has blossomed since she has been there as the care she is receiving is excellent. She is encouraged to join in with activities which she does and is very happy there.

My mother has lived here for 2 years and is very settled. She gets on very well with all the staff and it is lovely to see her happy and relaxed with them all, despite her advancing dementia. Staff are aware of her needs which is a great comfort to the family.

I am always impressed when entering Townend Close by the warmth of the accommodation and the standard of cleanliness everywhere. The atmosphere is welcoming and attractive rooms seem to be adequately furnished. Staff are usually available to answer questions regarding my mother's care. They all seem to have lots of patience.

Excellent room. Very spacious. The furnishings and curtains etc, are good quality.
The en-suite must be admired, toilet rolls made available.
The food is good and meal times are always on time.
If anything is needed, just ask. The staff are always helpful and kind. It is always nice and warm in our lounge which is good for older and infirm people.

The garden and helpers are well looked after and so the daffodils are coming out and it is lovely to see now.
