Anchor's Cranlea in Kingston Park has a number of local amenities and services within a short distance with good transport links. The home provides residential and dementia care for up to 39 customers in homely and comfortable single en-suite rooms and continues to welcome new residents.

There are a number of activities and events in the home and Cranlea enjoys good links in the local community. The home works with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure each individual’s health and care needs are continually met.

Anchor provides dementia care and on-going training to care staff to ensure their approach always reflects best practice. My mother has been living very happily in Cranlea for the past two and a half years. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and my mother often comments on how nice the staff are at the home. She loves her room which is bright and generously sized, with an ensuite shower room, and filled with her own things.
She also has a landline phone in her room so we are able to talk to her regularly, which is so important during the covid pandemic when it hasn’t been possible to visit her inside the home. Whilst there are regular activities going on every day, my mother prefers to stay in her room. We understand that the new deputy manager, who was previously an activities co-ordinator, will be introducing some new activities which will hopefully draw her out to take a more active part in the community of the home.

In my opinion, the most important aspect of a care provider is the quality of the care and therefore the attitude and dedication of the staff. My Mum lived at Cranlea for six and a half years. She had a lovely room and enjoyed the community at Cranlea. She particularly enjoyed the creative activities,
the keep fit sessions and the evening sing-a-longs. Although Cranlea no longer has an activities coordinator post, the staff and management have done their utmost to provide a range of activities for the residents. As Mum's health began to fail and her mobility deteriorated her relationship with the staff became even more important. She enjoyed the interest that they took in her and their humour. I have been particularly impressed with all of the staff at Cranleas compassion and love for Mum in the most difficult of times during the Coronavirus Crisis. This has been a great comfort to me as I do not live locally and have been unable to visit during the crisis.

I am very happy with the care my mam receives here.
I am confident that all her needs are being met. I know she is happy and safe which puts my mind at ease. All the staff are very helpful and approachable. Could not think of a better place for my mam to be.

I visited Cranlea unannounced to see the suitability for my mum who has only recently been diagnosed with dementia, the staff were all amazing, kind and professional in everything they do.
My mum has moved to Cranlea and I haven't changed my initial views. So far it is excellent.

My mother spent the last 16 months of her life at Cranlea. When visiting we were struck by the warm atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. Mam settled in quickly and was totally happy. The staff were all very caring and couldn't do enough to help mam without being overpowering. My sister and I were

Our mum who has recently passed away (at 95) was a resident at Cranlea. The staff are wonderful, there is a happy atmosphere in the home. Lovely atmosphere carers are all helpful and understanding, total empathy to all individual needs, my mam is at ease with her surroundings. Days when she is not go good she is given total one to one care until she settled and happy. As a family I couldn't be happier my mam is begin part of Cranlea family.
We are made to feel we can approach the staff with any problems or concerns. My thanks go to the team and all of the people behind the scene.

My mum became a resident at Cranlea in Oct 2015 after losing my dad to whom she was married for 60 years. She was given the warmest of welcomes by the staff and has received exceptional care and compassion. My mum's description of Cranlea is 'Rolls Royce'.
