Philip Cussins House in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne is a care home that gives everyone the chance to have a relaxing and entertaining home.

Residents can enjoy days out to the coast, the theatre and can get involved in exchange visits to other care homes. They can do craft work or hear local school children chat and even sing to them.

The care home's chef prepares menus that are varied and delicious while also respecting individual dietary requirements.

My mother was in Philip Cussins House for several years. She was very contented there. The staff were caring and built strong relationships with the residents. For over two months, at end of life, my mother was unable to get out of bed. The staff looked after her incredibly well, ensuring that she was
comfortable and hydrated. We couldn't fault the care she received and would highly recommend PC House.

I can't thank the management and staff enough for the improvement in my wife's condition since moving into Philip Cussins House. They looked after her so well that she was able to move into our home within a couple of months. The friendly, efficient and expert attention provided for her disorder is
highly recommended. The quality of food is also plentiful and served in the comfortable facilities. We would highly recommend this home for both residents and permanent care.

I came to Philip Cussins House quite distressed the hospital had discharged me following a very serious illness.
I had had respite care on an earlier occasion.
Here I am now just 2 days in (I propose to be here for 2 weeks).
Comfort and support, kindness and attention beyond compare.

My friend was residing in assisted living accommodation where she has been for a number of years. She is in her 70's and is quite childlike in her ways which some residents found irritating and had started to bully her. Her support at this place went on holiday for 2 weeks, I had agreed to call during
this period and on her first day 'alone' my friend was scared. I asked Philip Cussins House to come and assess her for respite. The manager came immediately and my friend moved in the same day. The staff were so welcoming it made me cry with gratitude. She is now a permanent resident and loves everything about the place and says she feels happy and safe.

My experience of Philip Cussins House.
I go regularly to visit a dear friend and have got very good knowledge of all the hard work that is put into the care and welfare of all the residents. It's almost amazing how it all comes together and the staff work so hard to make it a happy place.

The care home was a warm and friendly place. The carers, office staff and district nurses were all very kind and approachable and answered any questions that I had at the time.
My husband was there for a week for respite care, he was well looked after and will not hesitate in using the care home again
in the future.

I have lived here for one year. I am very happy here. The girls are very kind and look after me so well.
I enjoy going out on our weekly trips and enjoy the scenery and the fellowship of my fellow residents.
We are subjected to lots of different things and have plenty of varied activities during our
days. We are engaged lots of varied activities to keep us entertained and engaged.

The staff have been very understanding in giving me help when I feel I'm not coping well, also time to pull myself together and continue the task in hand. I know I am not as fast as I was normally but I am determined to do what I can.

My father was in Philip Cussins House from February 2019 until his recent death and my mum chose to go there. They felt happy and secure. The staff are excellent and take real care of the resident's every need. My mum has been well supported since my father's death.

My husband enjoyed his stay at Philip Cussins House, quite happy to go again. Everyone was kind and helpful and the food was excellent.
The staff were wonderful with him (he has dementia), I couldn't fault any of them - they spoilt him!

I find the care given by the staff to be excellent and find them very friendly and helpful.
I might suggest more musical recitals especially classical. Overall, Philip Cussins is a wonderful care home.

I have always found the staff to be very attentive, caring and supportive. My father settled in to Phillip Cussins House easily and gets on well with the staff. The facilities are excellent, as is the standard of cleanliness and maintenance across the house. Dad appreciates the care he receives from
all the staff, no request is too much trouble. All in all, a warm, caring home with amazing staff.

The care my mum has received over the last 3 years has been of a high standard. She has complex issues and can be difficult at times but they manage her with respect and dignity.
The home also does a vast array of activities for the clients from games, arts and crafts, celebrating religious days and
having singers to entertain them to name but a few. Often they have days out to visit various places.
I have also had a lot of support from the manager and staff when recently applying for Continuous NHS funding, nothing was too much for them.
